Although very adjustable in fits every vent type I have tried (I rent a different car every week for work) I found the mount to be unstable. It routinely drops the phone, even after being snugged, and the vent hooks move too much. I will be returning it shortly.
I bought a similar, but much sturdier mount from Target, and I am very pleased with it.

However you do have to be careful with it because it is made of plastic and you could probably easily strip the gears that hold the cell phone. It does rattle a little bit in my car when I start it and driving at times. I have a big 6" screen ZTE cell phone so this will fit any size phone you have.
