A friend had one of these and I broke it so this purchase was made to replace it. I personally don't care for it, doesn't seem sturdy enough to support the weight of a smart phone. But, I am the kinda person who does the right thing by my friends.

I've had a few phone mounts in the past. They're usually poorly made and don't stay in position. This one is the exception.. I'ts well made and easily adjustable. I also like that I can leave the clamp in place on the air louvers, but can stow the mount itself in my glove compartment when I'm not using it.

There is no Grip-it about it. It didn't grab onto the vent firmly. It was loose all the time. The gripping hooks broke easily. Waste of money.
