To set this up you connect it to the vent. With my iPhone 6s Plus it moves the vent around while going around corners. It was better with my I phone 5.

This vent mount cell phone holder works OK, but it has to be installed carefully to make sure it is secure. It fell out several times until I finally got it mounted securely.
