this machine prints my photos better than my last HP printer that was four times the cost. the scanner is slow but fine if you are not doing production work.
What's great about it: price, ink system, print quality
What's not so great: slow scanning
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not ipressed with NX400

Mainly bought this printer for college to replace my previous Lexmark X83. Not too ipressed with it. The printer is loud and noisy while it prints. The SD card will only read pictures, no documents. The plug cord is very short. There is no usb cable included and on top of it it's very hard to pin-point and plug the usb end in the back. Printing quality is average. Documents print out good but pictures do not come out of professional quality, if you not careful the ink smudges easily. Im thinking I might have to exchange this printer for a couple bucks more to an Epson Artisan 700, which includes wireless printing and double-sided printing which I think will become handy with all my college work and more.
What's great about it: Easy to set up and use, nice lcd screen for guide or to review pics,
What's not so great: no usb cable, cannot read documents from SD card only pictures, noisy and shaky while printing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This printer has great picture quality until you run out of ink having 4 seperate ink cartriges suck. We only had one cartrige low so we bought another one but if one is too low you cant print they all have to be full plus the price to buy refills is half the price of the printer
What's great about it: it prints beautiful pictures
What's not so great: You can buy a new printer for what it costs to buy refills
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Went to Best Buy looking for a new printer. Was greeted by the Epson representative. Explained to her that we wanted a HP printer. She showed features of this Epson model and the price was good. Didn't explain that it won't operate if one cartridge is out. Paid more for the replacement cartridges the first time than we paid for the printer.
What's great about it: nice printing
What's not so great: color ink cartridges are individual, will not operate if one cartridge is empty or low
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wanted to replace my old scanner, and I ended up getting this one instead.
So far.. the scanner works great, and the prints are outstanding.
I normally get my prints done through online sites, and the prints are comparable. I am sure the prints are slightly more expensive with the printer (paper and ink), but I get it right away :)
Make sure you get either plus quality or premium quality paper for photos.
What's great about it: The quality is superb!
What's not so great: None so far
I would recommend this to a friend!

its a great product ive owned epson for years finally gave out went and got this one lives up to there rep. works great still full ink in box picture quality is amazing for a hundred dollar priter you will be amazed

The pictures on this printer are not good. This printer isnt even wireless. you have to buy a seperate usb cable($41.00). Good thing i got it for free from buying a computer. Good luck with it.

OK but not worth the aggrevation. Don't buy!

I purchased this printer new from best buy. Over the span of a couple months I printed maybe 20 pages max. One day there was a warning that the yellow and magenta cartridges were running low. I didn't really have time to look into and figured that the diagnostic stuff wasn't working right since both the printer and cartridges were brand new. Unfortunately a few days later the printer is now out of yellow and magenta ink. With this printer if one cartridges goes out you CANNOT print a thing. Not even black only. Worst design ever. I've been trying to get help from Epson with no success so far.
What's great about it: decent all in one for price
What's not so great: ink ran out after 20 pages. refuses to print now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
