It vibrates

Those who have used older Playstation products love this thing. Essentially it has a fairly strong vibrator built in. So when you are in a battle the controller vibrates in your hands.
Wow! That is so exciting! Wow!
There is some benefit. In playing a game like Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 you know when you're being shot. Because you feel it in your hands. Of course you also feel it when you shoot.
It's heavier than the regular sixaxis controller. Somehow that feels a bit better.
But on the whole this isn't all that exciting. It's nice for shoot em ups and sword and sorcery. But it doesn't really offer much of an advantage for play.
It's great if you want to feel your hands vibrating.

This is one of the best controllers Sony has come out. The only BAD is only your controller batteries done and cant charge no more you have to buy another one. Other then that its a great controller
What's great about it: Made by sony so it works great, all the function work and the motion sense is great
What's not so great: none

This controller is a pretty big improvement over the PS2 and older SIXAXIS controllers. With the Dualshock 3 you get rumble support as well as more overall weight. You will also get a built-in rechargable battery pack with a charge cable that hooks right up to your PS3. It holds a long charge (25-30 hours) as well. The L2 and R2 buttons are now triggers which is a decent improvement over the PS2 but not as good as the Xbox 360 triggers. The joysticks are also the most free-flowing of any current-gen controller. It's as close to mouse and keyboard accuracy you can get out of a controller at the time. My only gripes with the design is that it is a little too small (the palm grips need to be longer) and the placement of the left trigger and D-pad could be switched up. The SIXAXIS is actually a nice feature in my opinion as long as it's utilized right (Ratchet and Clank, Killzone 2). I gave Durability a 5 because my friend submerged his in a glass of water and it works fine. Value for price is also a 5 because for $55 you get a quality controller with a built-in rechargable battery and cable as well as limited motion-control. Some people complain about the price being too high compared to the Xbox 360 controllers but just do the math. To get the Xbox controller and play and charge kit it costs $75 after tax whereas for only $55 you get both in the PS3 controller.
What's great about it: Looks awesome, Durable, Built-in rechargable battery and charge cable.
What's not so great: Too small, Triggers could be better (think Xbox 360).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very comfortable. I would have been happier if the analog sticks would have lasted longer though.
What's great about it: Feel and shape to comfort your hand placing
What's not so great: The analog sticks wore down really quick compared to an xbox controller

this is the best ps3 controller to really have. like its only a little bit heavy and it lasts a long time. and looks good to. and nothing really bad about it.

Mine Came With My PS3 So I'm Glad For That Ha ha, But If I Had The Regular SixAxis Controller And This Is Available? I Would Throw The SixAxis Away Because This Beautiful Thing Is The Exact Same-thing But Better. How Better? How About Bringing The Word Vibration Back To Mind?
That's Right, Sensibility, Vibration, More Responsive Buttons, Analog Sticks Raised Just A Little For More Comfort,Let's Not Forget Blue-tooth, And No AA Battery Hassle Unlike Another Company's Choice.. [cough!xbox] Because no one likes having a bar drained within 2 hours of playing so come on. Dual Shock 3 Is Comfortable, Price May Not Be As Exciting As It's self But hey, It'll Make You Forget That You Even Have It In Your Hands And That's Guaranteed.
What's great about it: Comfortable, Doesn't Die Easy, Amazing Controls
What's not so great: Price May Be ALITTLE Too Exaggerated

the sixaxis playstation controler is alright. they break very easily it dropped te controler from a 3 foot fall from my desk and the circuit board broke. but the contolers smooth and very responsive

In my opinion, the dualshock 3 controller for the PS3 has way better vibration force than competitor controllers. Also, it's not too bulky so it fits perfect in my hands. Trigger buttons are positioned well, and are the right size for my fingers don't slip.
What's great about it: Good price, good grip.
