[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this kitchenaid a couple months ago, and I absolutely love using it! It makes mixing things so much easier, and it is such an easy cleanup when I am done!

Troublesome issues....

I bought this mixer almost two years ago. It is a smaller version of the one I owned previously. I expected the same quality at this price point, but unfortunately, this was not the case. The issues I have a problem with are pretty basic.
The bowl does not have a handle to remove it from the mixer. Seems like no big deal, but when you are mixing stiffer batter, it really gets stuck pretty tight. I've had to scoop out my batter more than once & wait for my husband to return so that he could remove the bowl for me.
Which leads me to mixing attachments. I have used the whipping tool many times and had no problems cleaning it and using it again. The paddle attachment, I can not say the same for. Every time I use it and wash it, it acquires a black film on it. I have to use soap & water with a paper towel to rub off the black 'grease' type finish before I can use it, or the batter/frosting turns grey. I have tried to find another attachment that would work, but none that I have found will fit the bowl.
The price of this mixer is not much lower than the next level up. With that mixer I would have received a bowl with a handle and a coated paddle attachment. I find this frustrating as it is still an expensive mixer.

We have had a KitchenAid Mixer for over thirty years. It still works fine, though it is a little noisier than it used to be. Spotted a bright red new color and decided to buy it for or family. This one did not have a coated dough hook or mixng paddle like the old one. I washed the new aluminum versions, and they turned a nasty shade of black. I ruined two towels trying to rewash and clean them both. Then I ruined a cake batter with black gunk coming off of paddle. I can't imagine that this is safe or normal. The new improved devices are unusable as far as I am concerned. Bad move cheapening these vital components.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 2 weeks ago, and have made 8 different batches of Christmas cookies. It makes life so easy as it thoroughly mixes the dough while I can work on something else.

Mixer makes loud, grinding on second usage

I have not had much chance to use this product which was purchased for making bread. On the second usage, the mixer makes a loud, grinding noise on every revolution of the beater.
Cons: Poor quality

Replacement for Mom's old kitchen aide

Used the mixer to make a box cake mix and discovered the bowl was scratched up from use after the very first time. My mother had one of the old old mixer with all the attachments and heavy as heck. It came yo me after her death and lasted until just last month. It was one of the first and I used it for over 20 years. Never had a scratch in the bowl of the old one. If after the first use with the new one I have a scratch, I look to have a beater problem in my future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is great, only issue is the bowl does not have a handle like the larger machines with larger bowls.
