Happily switched from an iPhone 5S

Long story short: My iPhone 5S broke and the Galaxy S4 was the only replacement that was going to work for my situation. Having used mostly iPhones the past few years, I wasn't particularly excited, but overall I actually like the Galaxy more.
That said, it isn't a take-all competition. The iPhone has an impressive level of intuitiveness, and it has excellent integration - so long as you stick to the Apple universe. That's not to say that the Galaxy is very difficult to figure out. It is still very good. And what it may lack in a small amount of simplicity is more than made up by capability, flexibility, and customization.
Regarding the hardware, I think the iPhone takes overall build quality in regard to design, but the Galaxy has a more fingerprint resistant screen, an easily replaceable battery and the ability to use an SD card.
It's a close competition, but between the iPhone 5S and the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy is the clear winner.

This Galaxy does everything is suppose to do and then some, and it does it fast, it's great for anything that you may want from smart phone.
