It's over three years old now and still going strong. The glass is cracked and the plastic edges are chipped up. The battery does ok. It still sounds clear and it tough as nails. I've dropped it a lot. It's had a tough life and keeps kicking.
I have now purchased 2 of the Samsung GALAXY S4's and absolutely love it. I recently left my phone on top of my car and watched as it was run over and immediately when home and ordered another since I have been so happy with this phone instead of upgrading.
This is a good and reliable phone. It has great features and good quality screen.
Pros: Inexpensive, hover

I have been involved in computing since IBM mainframe days, way before the PC. It was a beautiful field to be in, very exciting, highly stimulating and obviously full of potential. I first saw that potential while researching at Bell Labs (Holmdel, NJ), and the potential I saw was in the computer as a communication device. But that was more than 43 years ago, and since I spent my days in front of computing machinery, while walking I definitely did not wish to be reminded of work. My family, and all my friends all took up smartphones lang ago, but I considered the devices mere gadgets. The Samsung S4 changed that. I first reviewed the specs, and then followed the technical news. It was only after testing and enjoying this device that I am now convinced that Samsung is revolutionizing our (computing) industry - the inter-connectedness, the seamless experience, and the confluence of our civilization's business threads will make any purchaser of the Galaxy S4 be proud to be in the forefront of a revolution.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight

Long time iPhone user- no longer bored with my phone!

I've had iPhones off and on for years, but I grew tired of a lack of change, I grew tired of jailbreaking to get features that should have been standard, and I kept seeing Samsung and Google coming out with great hardware and software.
After playing with an S4 for 5 minutes I knew I wanted it. I probably watched about a dozen YouTube videos of unboxings, walk throughs, and feature tutorials before I even got the phone, but I've loved it for these first 2 weeks. The transition was smooth, and as someone who uses their phone for business, I'm completely satisfied with the call and data performance. I'd recommend this phone to people who've maxed out their use of an iPhone and are simply coasting and maybe a little bored. You have so many customization options, widgets, and ways to optimize your own experience, my S4 is unique, and if you get one, yours would be too, and I'm not talking about the arrangement of icons on the screen. From lock-screen widgets to quick access apps on the lock-screen, powerful widgets, and android's bevvy of new features, including Google Now, I couldn't be happier having switched to an Android device.
This phone truly is an improvement over the GS3. Some could say that the transition from S3 to S4 is similar to how Apple has upgraded their line of phones, and there are some similarities there, but Samsung has improved upon the the galaxy S experience in every way from their last phone. At the heart of it the UI is essentially the same, but there are many more features that you can exploit to do what you need to do and to just have fun with. The phone also feels a lot more solid than it's predecessor, despite the criticism of the plastic housing. The screen is beautiful and displays rich, vibrant colors very well, and the camera is also a solid improvement. As expected, having a quad core processor has made things noticeably smoother, and with new tools like air view, air gesture, multi-window, smart scroll, etc., running these apps are a breeze. The battery life is a little better if not the same, in my opinion, a bigger, brighter screen, 4 cores, and more to do evens out the extra juice given in this battery. All in all, this phone is an amazing choice for both android and non-android enthusiasts alike.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, features for all ages to enjoy, speedy quad core processor
Cons: good battery life but more is always better., almost too big with bigger screen

The S4 has exceeded my expectations. The screen is beautiful, takes great pictures without a noticeable lag after taking the picture. Lot's of new settings to adjust everything about the phone. Smooth processing for all of the apps I have used so far. Love this phone!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, lightning fast
