This phone is awsome it is a must have I traded up my Galaxy S3 for this Galaxy S4... What a huge difference I have found my life companion....
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight

i got this phone after using predecessor phones , S2 and S3. an amazing phone that takes care of all my needs. a great camera, amazing screen with vibrant colors and a powerful processor to run the phone. Samsung did a great job in this phone...keep it up!!

I got a S4 , the 4G antenna was bad.
Then got a replacement which had a dent.
Then got a replacement that would freeze.
Then got a replacement that would not activate.
Then got a replacement which had a dent.

Product is of very bad quality
DOT BUY THIS. THIS IS NOT THE NEXT BIG THING.

If only it wasn't plastic....

So I had the phone a little over 4 days and had light use of it. I slipped it into my pants pocket at work and went to go make a phone call. Upon pulling the phone out I noticed the AMOLED screen was cracked. Well that ruined the day. I would suggest not using the phone at all due to the poor plastic housing strength and pressure the AMOLED screen is under from the front glass. Any small tweaks and the AMOLED screen will crack. So make sure you buy a titanium or stronger case if you intend to use it like a regular cell phone. Also had sporadic signal which required me to turn off/turn on to restore. The phone was so new it even had the original factory protection film on it.
Of course no warranty, even though in Africa and other 3rd world countries Samsung will replace the screen up to two times! It is called ADH - Accidental Damage from Handling. However they will not offer to those in the U.S,
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just got the Samsung Galaxy S4 to replace my Samsung Epic 4G that I had for the last 2 years. I loved the physical keyboard on the Epic but other than that I wanted to set it on fire on many occasions. Actually it ran so hot and burned up batteries so fast I'm surprised it didn't go up by itself! The battery died in 2 hours. Not so on the Galaxy S4. I haven't put it down since I got it and it holds a charge for a long time. The screen is bright and crystal clear and the definition is incredible. I worry about durability because it is very thin. It runs incredibly fast and smooth and has a massive amount of features and options. Tech geeks and app lovers will go crazy over it! The expandable memory is what really sold me because I usually keep about 5000 songs on an SD card. The 16GB internal is awesome because you can store music, pictures and APPS!! I've already downloaded over 150 apps and could load hundreds more. It will take quite a while to figure out whether I'll like/use some of the features like facial recognition and the ability to change songs, pages, etc by swiping my hand over the screen. Hover/Zoom is neat. It will also take getting used to because it is much thinner and larger than my old Epic. Very thin. Time will tell how it physically holds up.
Pros: Bright display, powerful, tons of memory expandable memory, great battery life
Cons: a ton of pre-installed apps you'll never use, can't uninstall pre-loaded apps
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery is very bad

My phone battery dies in less then 8 hours even with everything turned off the only time it will make more then 8 hours is if its on airplane mode. That is not using it my friend has a s3 and he has GPS on wify on and lets facebook run and all his apps running and it will last almost 2 days. The s4 must have been made with out a antenna because it loses signal all the time I had a cheep LG and it worked in all the places the s4 will not.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, bad battery, poor signal
