S4 still has gumption

I bought my S4 brand new, off-contract (read full price). I've had it 3.5 years, and it's still going strong! Granted, I am running a custom ROM now, so I have Marshmallow on it. Even with an unsupported ROM running, it's smooth and fast. The device is mid to low end, by today's device specs, but it is still relevant, even if Samsung gave up on it. I'd still recommend this phone over some others.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight, Built-in speakers
I would recommend this to a friend!

I want to love it but it is flawed

I have had this device for a few months now and like many of the features.
I use a phone often and need multiple batteries. So, being able to charge a battery and phone is great. However after 2.5 months I am now unable to reliably charge the battery through the phone. I can charge them externally (I have 4 of them) I can also charge other things with the many charges (samsung and other).. but I get a "battery disconnected" message when I try and charge through the phone about 90% of the time. It is very frustrating and apparently many people on the forums have similar and unique (but not reliable) solutions to the problem.
It is a flawed design -- and frustrating.. I will have to switch to another phone.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Too big
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wish if it have a feature like. When we use the blueTooth or head set to answer the phone, and the phone is in the pocket it keep pressing the touch screen buttons. If you can add some features like if the phone is locked it would not change any thing unless we swipe the screen to unlock it. Its very good.

Good phone overall. There is no need to sell you on all the bells and whistles (gimmicks), so I wont. Im really thinking about returning the phone because of:
1. Lack of memory
2. No built in fm radio
3. No auto correct in keyboard
4. Speaker placement
5. Unable to display lyrics in stock music app

Memory I only use my phone to download apps. I have never been big on downloading music or keeping a lot of pics. I hate that I have to choose what apps are more important because in the US the 16gb is our only option and out the box your only given 9gb. So buying a sd card does not work for me because you cannot install apps on the sd card.
I live where there is only 3g for sprint, it can be difficult to run an exercise app and a fm radio streaming depending on the strength of my signal. I have unlimited data but what about those that don't. Think about it do you really want to spend money to listen to your favorite free radio show. What about during an emergency when there is no Internet service, how will u know whats going on around you.
I love that the keyboard can predict what I'm going to type next but auto correct would be a great option because I am horrible typing in portrait view.
The speakers are nice but other phones have speakers on the bottom and front of the phones. The speakers need to project. I don't want to place my phone facedown to get the best sound quality when listening to music and working.
I like to know the lyrics to songs so that I can completely understand it. I don't want to have to install an app for everything I want my phone to do.
Why do we still have to download flashlight apps?? It is something we all we need eventually whether we know it or not.

Pretty Darn Good

Hey, I have and my s4 for about a month now and I really like it. The air gestures do noot always work the way they should but that is not really the reason i bought my phone. It has a lot of grate features(like the Infrared) and for the most part does everything i need it too.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight

This will be a great phone when most of the bugs are fixed with software releases.

Screen Is Too Big

I like this phone and the features of it but the battery isn't that good, and the screen is too big. And I wish that you would be able to view photos without seeing the other photos in the gallery and everytime you edit a photo I wish it would just override the first photo and not create new ones.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Realistic color
Cons: Too big, Did not meet expectations, bad battery, no full screen image
