The Phone is good its by far the best phone i've had so far spec wise. The phone was good out of the box very smooth and easy to setup like all android devices. I found out that after constant use that the phone would lag due to the UI (user interface) that samsung overlayed. I also have to say in regards to the phone the 4G LTE signal strength has improved and also the download speeds are a lot faster in my area compared to my other phones. I get about 50 down and 25 up compared to the 25 down and 12 up i used to get
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Too big

Great Phone, bad screen

Everyone knows how most people are hard on phones and you would think that they would made a phone with a screen that could handle it. Well the S4 can't. I didn't have my phone 18 days then i dropped it less than a foot off the ground and it shattered. The repair cost me $176.31. Other than that great features.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, poor screen design

Good device until it quit working

I have only owned my Galaxy SIV for about 3 months. It has been a good phone until the past 24 hours. I have taken excellent care of the device (in case since purchase, no water damage, no drops, etc.) and all of the sudden the display just went black. It happened instantly. One minute i was using the device just fine and the next I can see nothing but a black screen. The colored LED light at the top and the back and menu buttons at the bottom will illuminate but that is it. I have read of other people having similar problems online and can't seem to find an explanation. Very dissatisfied. I will be looking to get a warranty replacement although I wish I could exchange for something of higher quality.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, dead display after 3 months
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best phone I have owned to date

I went from owning a droid razr max to the Samsung S4. This phone is consistently outperforming my expectations in almost all areas. The most impressive piece from my perspective has been the camera. The multi functionality combined with quality has pushed my standards higher as it introduced options that I had not known to exist prior to having the S4.
I recommend this to anyone who asks.

I went through 4 of these phones within 3 months! The very first one seemed like a factory refurbished phone even though they swear it was brand new. I bought them 2 at a time, didn't know they came preregistered to certain phone numbers. Before we figured out that they were already registered, I started to download apps on the one phone and man was it fast. Then my husband wanted to call me to see how it sounded, the other phone rang. That's when we knew the one I set up was for my father in law. No big deal, right? Wrong! When I started to download the same apps on that phone, it took forever. We thought maybe we needed to download the apps and then restart the phone, nope. This phone would call people instead of texting them, battery would die within 2 hours of use, the swipe method would be way off. I would go to type off and it would say banana, those letters are no where near each other. I got my first refurbished phone 3 weeks after the first "new" phone, this one had new problems. It would just turn on and off when wanted, it would freeze all the time and the clock would get stuck. Got another refurbished phone. This one the sound didn't work, the alarm would go off when it wasn't scheduled and the ringer was delayed by 5 rings. Got a 4th refurbished phone. This one did all of the above. I finally asked to get a new phone because this was my 4th horrible phone within 3 months and my cellular company refused. I called the and they said they would repair it or give me another refurbished phone, I said no thanks. I was so over this phone. I do know some people who love their S4, but not this girl.

What a poor excuse for a phone. Oh and I have a tablet as well. I will replace both when the contract is up. NO it won't be another Samsung product, nor an Android.
My wife got her phone and tablet the same time I got the 4S and the T320k tablet, hers just works. My phone has been replaced twice, it still worked for texting and taking pictures, and email, just could not actually talk or hear anyone on the phone calls. Yes, it is supposed to be a phone.

Battery life... Generally the battery can make it almost all day, compared to my wife's phone that goes two or three days between charging, and oh by the way, she actually uses it, as opposed to me, who generally does not. So, it is really a pain when after not using it all day, it has a dead battery.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, does not work most of the time, eats the battery, regularly overheats, has to be reset often, generally speaking the worst excuse for a phone, garbage
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
