The Galaxy S4 still holds it's weight on Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it's starting to show it's age. My phone has trouble with the lock button switch jamming internally, and it has trouble connecting to mobile data from time to time.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: lock button has problems, mobile data has trouble turning back on, colors are slightly overexposed

I have enjoyed my Galaxy S 4 a lot

I have always bought Droid phones until now with my Galaxy S4, and I like it better specially the battery life.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, battery life
Cons: screen easy to crack/ break.

I love my Samsung galaxy. Its always up to date and is fast. I like that you don't have to turn on data to send and receive pictures.

Outdated when compared to the S5

As a user of the Galaxy S5 the Galaxy S4 is mediocre when compared to the S5. My mom owns the S4. It is a great phone which lead me to buy my Galaxy S5. The camera is better on her phone then mine for selfies and pictures at night but the touch screen seems glossier and the buttons don't stick out as much. The Galaxy S5's battery and charging abilities(optional dual-charging setup) help to shorter it's time on the plug and it's increased battery storage are worth the extra money you may have to pay for it in retail.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, sd card compatability, short battery life, charging
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my first smartphone, it way easier to operate than I thought it would be. My non technical wife loves this also

I've owned my Galaxy S4 for about 7 months now and would recommend it as a great smartphone with plenty of features. Many great apps and good performance already built in, good battery life,could be better. Android > Apple

The Samsung s4 is still one of the best smart phones I have ever used, I before had 2 IPhone 5s and 1 4s and I prefer the S4 above all of them all. For being 2 generations behind its still an amazing phone especially for the price point.
