The wireless setup was easier than I anticipated and the printer works well from all Apple devices. The colors are well defined and true. We're pleased.

Too Early to Judge

So far, our new printer is fine. It was not difficult to connect to our WiFi, and it does print personal letters with color photos, and our business invoices with the color logo. We have two other Brother printers (5250DN and MFC-L2705DW) that we use for most of our print, scan, and copy needs, so our HL-3140CW has printed less than 50 pages so far. Overall, my experience with Brother printers has been very good, so I expect our experience with the color printer to be similar.

Great printer

I love this printer , I had some difficulties on the beginning to connect this printer wirelessly to my laptops but with brother great technical support we did and I'm able to print wirelessly with my all apple devices ( I phone , 3 laptops ) the quality of prints are great and I will highly recommend! Thank you Brother for great product.

amazing machine good color

can you buy just the black ink without the colors? I like brother but the machines are too complicated for the avg person. especially when the wireless hookup gets disconnected. way too difficult and time consuming to remedy

Prints beautifully

First time have a laser and knew brothers wouldn't let me down, print beautiful and fast, love the machine, now all I have to do is figure out how to get the printer to connect with my mac

Didn't work for what I needed

It says that it can print thick paper and it can't. We bought the printer, it worked for about a week and then we contacted the company - they were great about replacing it, we had a new machine quickly, but then the same thing started happening after 3 days. We eventually returned it. It kept getting jammed in the back, it would print but then it wouldn't come through the top slot. We worked with it with the back open, the printer was okay but then it was inconvenient to not have an actual working printer.
Also the LCD display is difficult to work with because you only have 1 line and a few buttons. Putting in the Wifi password was ridiculous - you can only use up and down arrows to type in those ridiculously long passwords.
Lastly, I didn't like how it wouldn't print at all once it said the toner was out - felt like I was wasting money on toner - I've never had a printer that actually ran the toner to the end before saying it was out and there's not even a (at least easily to find) override so I just had to buy lots of extra toner.
Customer service people were very nice and helpful.
Got a full refund for the product.

Great Except For Wireless

The HL-3140CW is a great printer except it cannot maintain a wireless connection after it is setup, for more than a day.
I should have purchased the model with a wired Ethernet connection.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
