what I don't like

I don't like that the envelope feed is at the back of the printer which makes it inconvenient and makes the required space it takes too much. I do like the black/white and color in the same unit and I like the speed. I have had to have service on it already and it required a part. have only had a few months and hope that this is not an indication of its durability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Second Brothers Printer

Small Business usage has been great. This is the 2nd Brothers printer and we just started it up and it is performing as the first, perfect. Crisp clean copies B/W and color. Very satisfied customer. Good job Brothers!!

Prints great, but Deep Sleep is an issue

Overall, this printer has done great!...once I finally got it set-up to print via wifi. The quality is as expected, but despite what the manuals say, when I send a job from my laptop (again via wifi) to the printer, when it's in Deep Sleep, it doesn't automatically wake up. I end up having to physically go to the printer and get it into Ready mode. It's not that big a deal, since it's just in the next room, but it's very inconvenient! And unfortunately, it seems you can't by-pass or turn the Deep Sleep Mode off either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great printer for the money!

I don't believe you can find a better printer for the $$. It is fast, great quality, and is very reliable.
Nice job Brother! I might also mention that Brother's Customer Service is in my opinion is top notch. It took only a couple of minutes for them to walk me through the wireless set up process when I was having difficulties.

Difficult...

I heard that Brother made the best printers so I
bought one. I was surprised about how difficult
the instructions are. Also, the LCD screen is hard to
read. This is not a Plug & Play machine.
The print results are good. Just getting to the
print phase is a chore.

Great Introductory Laser Jet

This printer fits our small business needs quite well. If you are looking for high quality printing be sure to buy the correct paper. We are using some copy paper and the lines are not as crisp as I would like. The setup was simple and it has worked nicely. Don't put it too close to your desk, it is a little noisy, but not any louder than any other laser jet out there.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GOOD FOR THE SIZE

I was disappointed that I can not automatically do 2 sided documents. I have a mono HL-2270DW that will & thought this one would too.I do wish I could copy with this one. To go to a larger size was not going to work in my small office. One good thing, I can use heavier paper with it not jamming!
