Color Issues

The color printing of photos and graphics is considerably "off" from what is seen on the monitor on both my Macbook Pro AND my husbands pc. Have tried many ways to tweak with limited satisfaction. On the positive side, Brother's customer service reps are respectful, helpful, and generous with their time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Purchase, Great Price, Just love it.

I was looking for a color printer to replace my other B&W Brothers' Laser printer. Had to give it up to my daughter heading for college. I fell in love with Brother Printers, so had to get another one, Great Products. I then saw this model at a great price and did not hesitate to purchase. This has a larger foot print, but still smaller than lots of the other color printer out there and has every thing you will need for a home office. Initial setup of the wireless printing can be tricky, but brother has information on their WEB site that will help you with that, not in the manual.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor product

The printer lasted only a little over a year, as the coating on the fuse roller broke down. Only one year warranty so it would not have been worth to repair. Poor service in canada.

Good image quality, liked the wireless, doubleside

I've used a BW laserjet for over 10 years. Color lasers like this have come down in price to be affordable. Image quality better than ink jet, liked the wireless and double sided printing. Easy change toner cartridges.

Exceeded expectations for color laser

Th HL-3170CDW has exceeded our expectations for color laser printing, including photographic material. It is also economical to use instead of a B/W printer for all of our work. It has raised us to a higher level while not costing more than a small business can afford. When we did have a problem, after a year of use, Brother support was swift and gracious. I continue to recommend Brother for printers to all of my contacts

This printer is not good, had to replace the same part twice, and must print in B/W only because it print faint thick yellow lines on anything in color. Dealing with customer service is no picnic either.

the printer was ok , but the tray paper hold broken after few printing. my printer still new. but not function any more. mad.. after just a short use
