Frustrating wireless printing

Extremely frustrating to print wirelessly. This printer WILL NOT print wirelessly from iPad or laptops out of the box. We eventually downloaded an app to be able to print wirelessly-Printer Pro. The Brother app wasn't helpful to resolve the wireless printing issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Paper jams

Paper jams regularly and ink smudges. I returned this product at the store for a refund because I was very dissatisfied.

My Best Home Office Investment!

My Brother HL-3170CDW has been an tremendous addition to my home business. I'm a graphic designer and pound on my equipment. This printer has yet to fail me! The colors are crisp and clear from the first page printed to the 150th, I am totally impressed. I have always loved laser for my comps, but not the price, Brother has developed these excellent quality, low cost printers for small businesses like mine that allow you to create high quality products without breaking your budget.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The laserjet printer was perfect right out of the box. I use it to create Decals
for my side hobby with Vintage outboard engines. ( 1940-1960's)

Disappointed

I have been very disappointed with the wireless printing aspect of this printer. It goes to "sleep" continually, no matter how you set it, then you have to get up and restart it. I've spent over an hour on the phone with the support trying to get it fixed. It worked ok and lasted 2 days, then back to the way it was.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wireless Network a Challenge

I love everything about it - EXCEPT connecting to a wireless network. Unfortunately, that's one of the main reason that I bought it. I've used Brother Ink Jet printers for years, and have been very pleased. Don't know why this one is so difficult to connect. Does not handle heavy card stock well. Especially duplex.

Great for the price

This is a great printer for the price. It's easy to set up, use, and maintain. And the cost of toner sure beats the cost of ink. However, this does not produce high quality graphics. So, if you don't need high quality (like I don't for my usage), this is a great printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this little laser printer. No problems with connectivity from computer, phones or tablets. We had an inkjet and this prints a lot faster and we don't have issues with ink drying out due to non-use. Color is great for the majority of our prints (school papers, home office reports and powerpoints). It even takes up less space than our previous inkjet all-in-one.
