Great value for the price

This fills my needs for occasional color printing projects. It is quick printing & seems to be quite reliable. It handles sheet feeding well even with thicker card stock. The color is very good - vivid & true. The duplex printing has good registration from front to back. All in all a great addition to our network.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall a functional, well thought out color lazer printer.

Excellent purchase

Excellent printer. First colored laser printer I owned. Only thing I don't like is a time out message that I receive all the time. Normally occurs right after you have printed, like the software is out there searching for updates so it will not print and takes itself offline. Still working to resolve this issue but no luck yet.

The initial network setup and updates are not very convenient--recomminding use of UBS cable.
Side manual paper feed is pretty finnicky, requiring you to insert the paper just so.
I like that printer has small footprint and is not high compared to others.
I"ve only had this 6 month and so far the print quality is good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great value printer

We ditched our home inkjet printers because laser printers are much more affordable now. No bulk ink refills or if printer sits idle for extended periods, no dry smears or clogged heads. Print speed is very fast and quiet. Haven't tried photos yet, but still should be more economical. Much more cost competitive than other brand printers. Better price on replacement toner cartridges where the true cost of printing is. Good job!

Nice product

Like most features and capabilities of the printer but out of the box print has appeared faded and not as dark as I would expect it to be. After upgrading firmware and running the re-calibrate options printing has improved some but still not what I would consider the best yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Printer for the future

I have been using a HP color laserjet1600 printer as one of my printers for over five years. The struggle of keeping it compatible with windows 8.1 has been hard. I needed a part to improve the printing quality and was informed there are no supported parts for this printer. I went to Staples to purchase a new HP Laser printer. When I compared features and price I decided on the brothers HL-3170 CDW laser printer. I print a lot of color presentations of 4 to 5 pages. The auto print two pages feature is Great!
