And the technical support for it is just as bad!!!

I've been on the phone with the customer support trying to fix this thing, of which was only purchased 2 months ago, for hours! I've been placed on hold with them for HOURS! I wouldn't give this to my worst enemy to deal with. I will never purchase another Brother product again.

Don't Buy!

This printer did not even make it to a two year mark!! The roller disintegrated three times. The first time I called to get it repaired, they sent me a refurbished printer and the original printer was not even a year old! The second time the roller disintegrated they sent out a repair man to replace it and 4 months later it happen again!! Now it is out of warranty and Brother will not do anything about it. Really?? Three times in less than 2 years?? Obviously there is a faulty hardware problem. Don't waste your $ on this product.

This printer is huge, slow, and laser cartridges do not last very long. I am already having problems with printer quality. I do not recommend.

Good Purchase

The church had a desk top multi purpose printer. It was old and not dependable. I was familiar with Brother products and decided to try the color laserprinter. It has been a good purchase and the documents printed are very professional looking and the color is perfect. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a good printer. The printer is also used to print checks. I feel more secure printing checks on the brother than a inkjet printer.

I have been using your HL-3170CDW color printer now for several weeks and I am very satisfied with everything about the machine especially how easy it is to print on both sides of the paper. I would recommend this printer to anyone.

Good color laser printer

This is a good printer if you are looking for a wireless color laser printer. Good quality printing. The wireless set up was somewhat of a pain with only arrow up, arrow down and OK to set in your password. You have to arrow through a lot of characters to get it all in. There has to be a better way. That's what brought it down a star.

Mostly Great Printer

Overall, we really like this printer. It gets good mileage out of its toner cartridges and the print quality is fantastic. They are clear and sharp. The only complaint I have is that the manual feed is a bit difficult to use when you're printing more than 1 page, but I don't have to do that often, so it is more of an inconvenience than a problem. Setup as a network printer was easy. I would recommend it to a friend.
