Nice Printer

Bought this to replace my old Brother Laser Printer which was around 10 years old and beginning to show its age. It still worked fine, but was black and white only.
Setup was a little difficult to understand for wireless printing, but I can attribute that more to my not understanding exactly what I was doing rather than the equipment or literature. Got my girlfriend's laptop connected up for wireless printing and she just loves it. :)
Very happy with the quality of print and even though it is not supposedly a photo quality printer It does a great job for me. I have used it to print pictures of various things...like the mounting hole inside a front spindle assembly for the ABS sensor on a 94 Camry and was very impressed with the fine detail the printer showed. If I want a higher quality picture I will take a SD card into a store and print one.
I like the printers ability to print on both sides of the paper as well. Saves paper and time. I just have to remember to select the option when the print window appears.
Unlike a inkjet printer I do not have to worry about the ink drying up on me, so it is always ready to go.
Very happy with this purchase.

Good for the price.

Bought it to use the wireless capability with my lap top. Does an excellent job. Be aware during set up, if not all doors are tight shut, it will not print, and when you close the loose door, all the trial copies will come out at once. It has a large memory. I just wish it were a little easier to switch between double sided and single, like my Samsung.

Fast printing, good color documents. however is not a photo quality. The control panel is a little tricky to operate.
I think is excellent for small office.

GREAT Printer!

Having first become aware of this printer at my employer's workstation, I found it to be a very good solution for a cheaply made & defective H-P inkjet printer. The interesting thing was that the H-P unit was advertised as an office quality unit, NOT a home quality one. For all the printing needs, both colour & B&W, this BROTHER printer performed quite well, even on lengthy print runs. And, since a couple of PCs under my control at the office were portable laptops, the WiFi connections to these devices & the BROTHER printer worked WITHOUT a hitch. I can say that the installation of the software in all 3 PCs went smoothly, WITHOUT interruption & to completion. Based on this experience, when it was time to purchase a printer for my personal home use, I purchased the same model, and have been likewise very well pleased.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Right out of the box, easy setup and start printing immediately from my iphone/PC. Drivers are MAC and Windows friendly and color pages are flawless for brochures or reports.

Trouble at first

I had problems keeping this printer connected to my wireless network at first. I even returned the first one thinking the printer was a problem, as my last brother and all the other brothers printers worked fine in my office on the wireless network. Come to find out the printer I was replacing was not connected wirelessly and was hard wired as I have a connection issue back in my personal office. Either way, tech support worked with me over and over trying to get it working for me. Thanks.
