I needed to have a minimum standard of quality to present quarterly reports to my Hospital client. I am a one person office and generally in the room working with and competing against the largest of companies.
My purchase and use of the HL-3170CDW had an immediate impact on my confidence as soon as I installed it and printed the reports within minutes. I was truly relieved. I have been in business 35 years and 17 on my own. This color printer gave even me a boost of confidence. Thank you Brother.

Excellent Purchase

The text is crisp and the colors are very good. Two side printing is great to have when needed.
The printer is bigger and heaver than a inkjet printer, but the cost per page is much lower. Unlike inkjet printers the print will not smear when wet.
Overall the Digital Color Printer is very good value for the money spent on its purchase.

i would highly recommend this printer to everyone in need of a printer. easy set up, beautiful color. we are using it for my wife's self publishing of her new christmas book. duplex printing is flawless. saved us a ton of money

Does the Job

Customer service replaced my first Hl-3170 because the roller disintegrated. The 2nd unit is performing great. It is reliable, low maintenance and provides excellent quality print.

A nice laser printer

Bought this printer to replace a mono laser printer and color inkjet. A very good choice! Toner carts are a bit pricey but have good life. Very nice print quality. Printer not the speediest but great for household users.

I LOVE my new Brother color printer! My husband got it for me as an early Christmas present and it's the best-working printer we've ever had--never a problem printing--it's always ready to do the job!

Good Purchase

Happy with performance, but would have preferred a printer that could handle heavier paper weight. Sometimes need to print tickets of 67lbs and up. Also the display lights (of, on, sleep, etc) could be better. They are to hard to read.
