This is the 2nd HL-3170CDW I have purchased and simply love it!
Colors are great, printing speed is good, doubled sided printing is easy.
The only CON is that it does not show toner levels
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hate that the first printer fusing roller decided to self destruct and I went through the hassle and it was a hassle of exchanging printer bodies.

I really like this printer. I love that I can print wirelessly, it is incredibly convenient to print from the laptop or phone. It prints fast and has good quality. I don't print fancy documents, so I cant say for certain that type of quality, but for all of my needs it has done really well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works on Linux

Brother provides software drivers for Linux and updates them, making this printer a good choice for the Linux community. The installation process could be explained better, and the prompts on the installation software are confusing (took several tries to make the proper choices).
The printer itself is just what was needed for a home office: compact, quick, good color. There have been two major breakdowns in the machinery, but Brother repaired and replaced parts without charge even beyond the standard warranty period.

As good as it gets. Ironically, this replaces an HP OfficeJet 6700 which was a disaster from day 1.
