Just what I was looking for

I have an older mono brother laser printer that just keeps on trucking so when I wanted a colour one I looked no further than Brother. I have to admit the printer far exceeds my expectations. Wireless convenience for my laptop and wired for my desktop. Colour is great and everything is sharp. I don't care about speed so the time to print is fine with me (home use) and so far same dependable service as my older laser printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

NOT SO HOT...

I've had three of these, they were all replacements for the original one! Constant paper jams, roller marks, toner problems. This is ONLY good for a first time user of laser printers. its much slower than my other brother printer, and the duplex printing is extremely slow. Not fast enough for a small business to make brochures etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Product

This printers is working decently. It was easy to set up and had it working in a few minutes. only comment might look at a multi function machine that would also copy, vs only a printers. This is working well and would consider purchasing again if I only need a printer.

Good Product and fine support

The Brother HL-3170CDW I currently have is my second HL-3170CDW. The first one broke down after some 9 months of modest use. I followed all of the online advice to correct the problem. Much of it provided some temporary relieve. Unfortunately, the printer continued to grow worse. I finally asked for a replacement and was promptly able to obtain that replacement. the replacement has been in service about one month and is performing well, so far. Throughout this experience Brother's support staff has been Excellent inn all of their efforts to help.
I would recommend this to a friend!

For picture prints we still go to the bix box store, but for color pages, simple documents, etc this printer works great. Start up very fast, the quality of text printed is awesome and I'm looking forward to see how long we can use the torner

The text is great and the colors are very good. Two side printing is super to have when needed.
The printer is bigger and heaver than a inkjet printer, but the cost per page is much lower. Unlike inkjet printers the print will not smear when wet.
I did not use color printing much when I had an inkjet as it was too expensive to clean and replace inkjet cartridges.
I would recommend this to a friend!
