WiFi problems

While I like Brother printers in general, and have owned several, their wireless connections are very unstable. This machine has he same problem. Even after going through their tech support to set it up for wireless printing, the connection was gone a few days later. My fingers are getting tired of calling tech support. This function needs to be improved; if it wasn't already over a month since I bought this printer I would return it and get another brand.

This product prints good pictures and is quick in doing so. The issue I have with this printer is printing over wifi. Sometimes it would say my printer is offline and fail to print when my printer is clearly up and running and connected to the wifi. The first time it happened I would just reset the network settings and reconnect to wifi, but the second time, it didn't work and I'm left still pondering on how I can fix it.

Only good for basic printing needs

I've only purchased Brother color lasers for my business. I do a good amount of printing on "heavy" paper (65lb). It's never been a problem till this printer. It can handle it but not easily and definitely not in duplex mode. And the manual feed with any weight paper is terrible. Doesn't "catch" the paper well and miss-feeds more that half the time. Forget envelopes. If you do a lot of "manual" feed jobs, pass on this printer. If you print a lot of legal paper, pass again. It all falls on the floor. And the color saturation is not the best. Not terrible but not great. If you print stuff in the "BR-Script3" mode it's better but it takes FOREVER to print. Decent basic color laser but do not ask it to do anything special. "Just the basics ma'am".

Had to return bcs graphics printing insufficient

Colors are wonderful. No USB cord, Manual Feed can be frustrating. Especially if paper jam is under the ink cartridge. Ink Cartridges can be expensive. This unit is not for some one who prints everyday.

Needs work

I returned the printer for two reasons: 1. Start up time from sending print command to actual printing is too slow. 2. The feeder tray that I use to bypass the main paper tray and feed envelopes or letterhead only handles one page or envelope at a time.

Doesn't work/communicate with anything!

It printed ONCE! From my iPhone. I have repeatedly tried getting it to print again -no luck. Won't print from my Mac Mini nor my windows 10 laptop. Uninstalled/reinstalled-NOTHING!! I'm thoroughly disgusted. In doing further research, I am not alone-this seems to be a routine problem. I want to return it. DO NOT BUY BROTHER!!!
