would not sync up with my router wireless network, the company I work for IT department suggested this and it was a fail

worst printer just says it cant print and i need to do something, error on startup , documents stuck. Just complete terrible

It's okay

I've always had Brother black and white, and when my Phaser printer broke, I figured i would replace it with a brother color. It was a bad choice for me, as I mostly use black and white I'm always accidentally printing in color, expensive. Of course I can't compare an inexpensive color printer to the IBM Phaser, and for that I am disappointed.
All in all, it's a good printer, but not the right printer for me.

After purchasing my new Laser printer, I was excited to give it a try. It’s has been disappointing so far. I press print on a document and it will print blank pages until out of paper.

Buggy printer with failing feature-set disappoints

Please do not buy. This printer fails to connect to network repeatedly. Known bug with printer. Prints 1 page at a time of a 13 page document. It shouldn't take 21 minutes to print 13 pages.
Purchased this printer SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS FEATURE, google cloud print feature is broken. has to be reset every few days.

A Great Laser Printer, Dispite a Problem!

I bought the HL-3170CDW because I was tired of forking over so much money for ink jet cartridges. The HL-3170CDW prints fast, clean and bright copies of whatever I create. It's a great laser printer.
HP did have a serious engineering problem with a roller on the HL-3170CDW that disintegrated, and that was a very serious problem, but I must say that they were very cooperative in solving the problem and replaced the printer - all at their cost. Try that when you have an Epson printer problem!
I would recommend this to a friend!

WHAT CAN I SAY. IT'S A BROTHER PRODUCT. I PROBABLY HAVE PURCHASED A DOZEN BROTHER PRODUCTS' IN THE PAST 5 YRS. NOT ONE HAS LET ME DOWN. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY A COLOR LASER PRINTER, YOU CAN'T LOSE WITH THIS ONE.
