I owned a HL-4070 before this one. Much heavier so this one is nice in how light it is. BUT I cannot print cardstock on this printer. Who makes a printer nowadays that cannot print cardstock paper, or at least 67 lbs paper. Very disappointed. Also, the setup instructions were not the simpliest for the wireless feature - I just went with the normal cable route.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This printer has performed as promised by the sales staff. The ink cartridges are easy to change. But only after you figure out how. It is fast and efficient. Colors are clear and true to tone.

Quiet, efficient, small office color printer

This Brother is an upgrade from a 5 year old competitor's model. This one is very price competitive and works well in a small office environment. It does duplexing and it sets up the first print quickly. This also has a good set of software tools and auto refill on the ink/cartridges. The quality is also very good. This model also has a small footprint so it will not "overtake" any desk top it is placed. This is a newer model so I know the updates/mechanical/software components will be useful for the life of the unit

Excellent Value

I am very happy with this printer overall. Speed is outstanding and I think the cost per page will be exceptional, as opposed to my inkjet - which is the main reason I bought it. There are a few weaknesses, however. The color is slightly off for photos. Inkjets are superior. But it still prints a pretty good picture. A worse drawback with pictures is you can see a faint "track" running down the picture presumably where the roller runs the paper through the machine. It's not extremely obvious, but is noticeable. One other glitch is the instructions to hook up to WIFI did not stick, and I had to call "Big Brother" for help. He was awesome. There was a slight variation in his verbal instructions (compared to the manual) and voila, it worked perfectly. I did buy an extended warranty because I"m tired of printers failing within days of their mfg. warranty expiration date (which has happened to all of my Epson and HP printers - I think they're programmed to fail!). I have my fingers crossed on this printer's durability.

Good, inexpensive color laser printer

I am using the printer wirelessly connecting to 6 computers. I have had no problems with install or using the printer on both MS or iOS. It is not a good printer for picture prints, but is great for document printing. The printer is fast, and while the fans make some noise during printing, the printer quiets very shortly after the print job. It uses 4 toner cartridges that last me months.

Excellent print quality

This printer does (almost) everything I ask of it, both in my work and personal use. It gets four stars instead of 5 because every time I try to use the hand feed tray it jams. It's really annoying not to have that function available.
