I have been extremely satisfied with my HL-3170CDW printer! I also looked at another Brother color laser printer/scanner/copier and was very tempted by it. The price was better and had the additional capabilities. The deciding factor for me was duplexing and I have been extremely pleased with my choice.
The only problem I have experienced has been with that feature and has not repeated. I decided that it was a paper issue and NOT an equipment issue. Other than that isolated glitch, the printer has worked flawlessly.
Again I could not be happier with this purchase.

It prints photos from Word with excellent quality within a Word document. No bleed throught like inkjet. I only wish text was a little darker. Excellent print speed.

Bought this printer and loved it. After 2 years, my kids spilled a coke in it and killed it. I loved this model so much that I bought another one just like it. Great on toner, duplex feature is wonderful. Highly recommend!

Great features for a Great Price

The cost of this full color duplex laser printer is a great value, considering all the features that are available. The cost of ownership has already been cheaper than my previous inkjet printer. Considering I don't print that often, and I was constantly replacing good inkjet cartridges because they would no longer print. When I do print, I need good quality, in full color. The duplex option saves paper, and I can print directly from ALL my devices (from Windows to Apple MacBooks and iPads) with no issues.

Great Product

This Printer was the best for my work,as it is doing what I need for home and small office work.Really simple to set up and use.I had a brother HL CDN 4040 printer that last forever it seemed before it failed with so much needing to be replaced.And since I didn't need all the functions it had I chose this printer,and it works for me.

While it’s not the easiest printer to set up and sorting through instructions and trouble shooting online is a bit of a challenge...overall a good laser printer that does time job asked of it! Good quality printing...

Works perfectly

Had the same model before for years. It had problems staying connected to the router and print quality was failing. However, Brother stood by an earlier problem with that printer, so I decided to buy the same model again, it now stays connected and the print quality is back to wonderful and is double sided.
I would recommend this to a friend!
