trouble with Epson XP 410

I installed the software for my new Epson XP-410. I am able to print wireless; however, I cannot get rid of the message on my printer/scanner that says "scanner error". I have turned the printer off and on and that does not work.

Horrible buy!!

This printer worked great until I had to replace the ink for the first time. I did everything right and it recognized all the cartridges as full but would only print blank pages. I went back and reloaded all the ink cartridges again and did a head alignment and cleaning. Still wouldn't work. After spending half an hour working on getting it fixed it FINALLY printed a page for me and then flashed "low ink"! Other reviewers have posted on other sites that they have had the same problem. Total piece of junk and cheaply made

So expensive to use

It's a great printer, love the wifi feature! But I will be getting a different printer because it's cheaper for me to go to the copy shop and print stuff then it is to buy the ink for this printer. I printed 100 sheets and it used up a whole blank ink cartridge!! It's terrible! Buy a different printer if you plan on using it on a regular basis

Solid, versatile, useful printer. Care suggestion

I have owned this printer for several months. I like that it is compact, has useful scanning capabilities, and especially that it uses a rear paper feed. Much better photo quality than you might expect from a 4 color printer. Relatively quiet, but not blazing fast at photo printing. Option to purchase low or high capacity individual ink carts makes printing management more convenient. Pigment-based Durabrite inks seem much less likely to cause clogged nozzles. No real probs there. Over all I'm very pleased.
I've owned Epson printers (consumer and professional models) for years. My advice is to leave your printer on at all times and print a small, multicolored test pattern every couple of days if the printer is not in use. Keep it covered if possible. This will save you the headache of clogged nozzles and gratuitous startup self cleaning cycles. Remember, even though the printer is retailed at a low price, it is a precision piece of equipment that cannot be just neglected and then expected to be useful at a moments notice. Happy printing.

Do Not Buy Epson XP-410

I bought this because I have so much printing to do for my school work. The printer was inexpensive, which is the reason I chose it. What a mistake! So far I have gone through numerous ink cartridges, and half the time the printer does not print properly. For example, several sections of the page have blank rows. This printer can print out basic coloring pages, but Word documents with a lot of writing- no!
Please spend a bit extra for another product, because this is a waste of money.

This product does not print if one of the ink cartridge is low. You cannot print in only black if you request it. The ink package does not come with all the ink required. The ink runs out too fast. It is expensive and it is not provided in many stores. I had to buy black ink separate from the rest of package. Very little quantity of pictures or documents can be printed with ink supply. The system does not allow override and request to print in black

If you are looking for great results in a small package HomeXP-410 is the place to start. And very affordable for anyone on a fixed income.
It has some great tools that help make printing look good.
