Uses more ink than average printer especially while "priming"a new ink. The regular cartridges are low capacity regardless of what is said. The extra (XL) capacity cartridges are the same size as the regular cartridges,however, Epson claims they have more room on "inside" for ink,hence, they are XL capacity. I don't know that i buy that. the quality of photos is very lacking when compared to other models. If you have a child in school who only has to print out reports without photos and you don't mind shelling out for ink every week, this is for you. If you are not this printer is NOT for you.

Worst ever printer

It does print beautiful plain white pages though. New cartridges, nozzles checked, head cleaning performed, print head aligned everything checked but only get plain white pages.

So far the printer has done a good job. It was very easy to set-up and install. It is easy to operate and the quality has been very good. I will be monitoring how fast it uses the ink. Very good printer for the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Waste of Money

This printer is awful. When it actually decides to print, the quality is great, but whenever I have to replace a black cartridge I have to clean/realign the print head about six times in order to get it to print cleanly. Not to mention, that wastes ink!! Cartridges run out ridiculously quickly and when one "runs out" (even though it still holds a good amount of ink), the printer refuses to print altogether. As a college student I need a printer I can rely on, and the amount of times I've come close to throwing this one out the window is crazy. Do not buy this!

Terrible

This printer has only been printing blank pages but it says that my ink is low already! I've printed about 15 test pages to try to get this to work. I've done all of the troubleshooting suggestions. I thought maybe it had to do with the cartridges that came with the printer so I put in the brand new genuine Epson cartridges I bought separately and it still doesn't work. I've gotten notifications that 2 of the colors are already low- after printing NOTHING on any page. The set-up wasn't too bad though, which is how I know I did it correctly and have the latest drivers and such. What a waste! I will be returning this printer immediately.

Needs improvement

I have purchased all epson printers and I think that this may be my last printer. This is the worst of the epson series of that I have owned and I question half the time why I brought this printer. I know that they say that you pay for what you get but this is a whole other level. I planned to get a printer for the next four years that I am in school but I wonder if this printer will even last this 1st year. This printer has refused to print for me a couple of times and indicates error. I know I am a student and need to print out a decent amount of stuff but the genuine ink carriages are dismal!!!! In the one month that I have had the printer, I have changed my black ink carriage three times and all the ink that I purchase are the genuine epson inks. The amount of money that I have spent on inks for this printer could have paid for another one of this printer. I am very disappointed in the quality of this printer and the amount of ink that each ink cartage offers.

I'm quite a tech "dinosaur". 70 yrs. of age... I'm clumsy, easily confused, impatient and frustrated easily if troubleshooting tech difficulties. Bought a more complex 4-in-1 Epson 3 days ago. Unable to figure out many things. VERY unhappy. Read many reviews for the XP-410. Convinced this compact, easy installation and its efficiency would satisfy my needs. So, exchanged 4-1 for this 3-1. Set up literally in less than 10 minutes. 100% easy to operate! Printing capabilities, quality, size ,etc. unbeatable in my opinion. So far completely satisfied and HAPPY with this purchase!!!!
