i found the instructions easy to follow and it took very little time to bring it online. it does take a few seconds for the printer to decide it wants to print now, but i'm retired and not in any hurry. i have used the copy feature with no problems, but i did have to read the instructions. have not tried to scan anything yet. do not have a landline so the fax feature will remain unused. i am happy at this time. it is kinda scary to look at epson reviews online, but i went ahead and purchased anyway.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Printer prints beautifully.
Scanning did not work. Had to hire an expert to change the scanning to windows so a scanned piece would go into my computer documents. Noticed that many others had same problem when I looked into hELP.This is a serious problem when the printer is advertised to do this.

A fantastic little network printer

I bought this printer to replace an HP that didn't quite make the move to our new house. I chose this printer because of its size (small) and the flexibility to change only the empty cartridge (it has cyan, magenta, yellow, and black cartridges).
Networking to my home wireless was a snap. Just set up the printer per the manual and then follow the on-screen instructions on the printer. We can even print from our iPad and smartphones. I will note that we had to install the proprietary Epson app because the Apple branded products could not identify the printer (I don't believe this is a fault on Epson's part). The app allows you to print web pages and notes. It also has some other features we have not had the need to use.
A great value for home use and my son's homework requirements. As with any value printer, selecting any setting besides draft is slow but the pictures are sharp, even on plain bond paper.
We have printed a handful of pictures using Epson photo paper and they came out ready to present.
I would recommend this to a friend!
