Love this printer

I read many reviews about this printer and almost did not buy it...some said it wasn't worth the money, others said it did not come with all of the ink cartridges but I love it. it is more compact than my previous epson printer and does the same, print, copy and scan. So far, I do not have any complaints. I needed one in a hurry and this was what I could afford, and the cartridges will not take a chunk of money to buy as opposed to my other one. I would definitely recommend others to buy this one.

Second Epson printer in one year. The first, a workforce all in one, was somewhat of a light weight and wouldn't print heavy paper like business card stock or cover stock. Got a paper jam that never cleared. When it did work the printing was clear and quick. So, if we did nothing fancy and stuck to docs and checks, it was fine.
Now on to a smaller xp-410. Didn't need a fax and was interested in cloud print. So, gave it a try. Has taken several hours and two installations on our computers to get it to work. So far. Difficult to work with Quick Books, only reinstallation got it going despite on-line faq support from epson, and independent google searched help.
So, if you know a whole lot about installation and have the time and patience to do it, this could be a fine printer. Time will tell how flimsy it is, and if it can handle heavier papers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy Set Up

I just set up my printer to a wireless network, and it was so easy. I usually have problems with things like this and have to have someone else help me. Truly, this was so easy. Best I have ever done. What a joy to do it ALL by myself. I am 68 years old and didn't need help. What a joy.

Prints out crooked

I really wanted to like this printer but everytime I went to print out something it would come out crooked even when the paper was in straight. On my way to return it now!

FINALLY!

After 6 hours of installation, I was able to get my Macbook Pro to talk to the printer. Not sure why the drivers took almost an hour to download, it wasn't my internet, but finally after going through the entire installation it works good. Phone printed great before installation was complete through the wifi. Only recommendation for this would be, have a lot of free time before you start this install.

Just opened the box & plugged it in, following issued instructions. Simple & very easy to follow. Using the break-in ink cartridges, printed first copies, color, excellant. Try it you'll like it.
