needed a new printer, this one was recommended. I needed an easy one to set up as I am not tech savy, this was a breeze to set up, and I can take it with me when I travel since its wireless. Double bonus, easy and portable!

You can't print in black without color

Never in all of the printers that I have owned, have I had a printer that would not print in black only when the color cartridges ran out. I will NEVER own an EPSON printer again.

Epson XP-410 all in one printer

Great machine for a compact printer.Only drawback
is that it does not came with a printed owners manual to facilitate the use of all functions and set ups.

Good 3-in-1 for the money, but ...

I had a little trouble getting my iMac to bring wirelessly with it.
Interestingly, my iPhone and my MacBook Air worked with it immediately.
Outside of that one glitch, I like this unit a lot, and it does all I require of it, and does it well.

Beautiful print quality; remove all blue tape

This is my second or third Epson printer. (The second printer was damaged through operator error.) The print quality on this new printer is amazing. These Epson printers get better and less expensive all the time.
Be sure to remove all blue tape per the installation instructions. There is one on the right that holds the print carriage in place. It's easy to miss that one.
Buying new cartridges is effortless -- you can do it right from the desktop. Shipping is free, so the price is competitve with retail stores. Avoid remanufactured cartridges -- the print quality is much degraded, so they're no bargain.

New Printer Installation

Just purchased my Epson XP-410. Instructions for installation very easy to follow. Love the size of it, and that it seems so quiet when it is printing.
This is my third or fourth Epson printer. Have loved all of them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Set Up

Excellent set up to include connecting the wifi set up. However, I was disappointed that it a USB cable wasn't included. It was recommended but not required. But why leave it to chance when needing to properly connect. I had to go back to the store to purchase a USB cable. I believe the USB cable was the key to such a simple and successful set up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

One of the worst printers I've ever owned

I must say, this printer was recommended to me by a friend who claimed it was reliable and economical. What I have found instead is that it offers poor print quality, jams, doesn't recognize it's own cartridges even when replaced, is expensive and 12 the time does not work and requires trouble shooting. I have hung in with this printer for quite some time because I am often loyal even when the loyalty is undeserved. Today, I threw it out. I would not even donate it to someone else. Why put them through that?? It felt good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
