Very Happy with My Refrigerator

I chose this refrigerator because it was one of the few that would fit into the space available in my condo kitchen. This is the first bottom freezer I have had and I am amazed at how much it holds. I particularly like the pull-out drawer and shelf. It is so much easier to find items and keep the freezer neat!
I also like the fact that almost everything in the refrigerator section is adjustable -- and easy to adjust so those oddly shaped products like tall bottles or turkeys can have a place when necessary.
Both the freezer and chill chest beep if you leave the door open for over 30 seconds, and the temperature settings are placed in such a way that they are easy to get to, but won't be accidentally adjusted.
Excellent features and a sleek design that seemed to have been designed with me in mind.

Bought this refrigerator 1 year ago and have hated it everyday since. It is poorly designed with the big light in the center of the top shelf preventing you from putting tall containers (like milk jugs) on the shelf. The door alarm goes off far too quickly. The ice maker is very noisy and the constant opening and closing of the freezer door to get ice causes an ice and frost build up in the back of the freezer. PLUS, just one year after purchase and the motor sounds like something that could power NASA vehicle through the atmosphere and as of today I have a wonderful water leak from underneath the refrigerator - which is awesome for my brand new laminate floors. Not happy - not impressed! Would NEVER buy another LG product.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just bought a dishwasher and a matching frig. This refrigerator is great. The other product was not so I've learned the hard way I should pay more attention to customer reviews. Looks like this refrigerator is already getting positive reviews but I just want to add one more happy customer to the list.

This fridge is perfect for us. I wanted a bottom freezer but didn't like the French door styles that are flooding the market and the way the whole freezer section pulls out when you open the door.
On this unit, there is a bin that pulls out if you want to but you don't have to pull it out every time you open the door. I was glad to find this style for such a good bargain. The lighting is bright, the shelves are great inside the fridge, freezer and especially on the door. The freezer door has a hinge that keeps it open if you're not careful to push it closed; but that said there is also a tiny alarm that lets you know a door is ajar.
It is not at all noisy--I'm not sure why another reviewer is having that problem.
The only con is there is no egg holder, per se. We have a bin from an old fridge we use.
After using a tiny side by side, we just love the space in this fridge.

Have had this for a few days, already. A review may be a bit premature, but I wanted to say how pleased I am with this refrigerator. LG nailed it with this one. The price was great. It's great looking. It's spacious... and it's quiet.
Especially, we liked the finish. It's smooth! It's not that garbage textured stuff that captures the dirt, dust, and grime that's impossible to clean.
Nice job, LG!

We have had this fridge for almost 2 weeks. So far I love it--can fit A LOT more in this freezer than I could in my side-by-side.
The ice maker is fast and the 'small' size is the same size as my old one's. The front finish is smooth, as stated in other review--although you need to know that magnets will scratch it.
The only thing I would change would be that the ice bin have a 'taller' back. When scooping ice if one pushes a little too much some cubes fall to the bottom. Which then might not let you close the freezer basket.

Great design and very attractive. Nice shiney white finish. Adjustable shelves on door are great. Size is perfect for a smaller kitchen. Started with the 19 cf version of this box but after the delivery people dented the box and the reversable door had a chronically loose and squeeky handle, the retailer agreed to switch it out for another unit and I opted for the 22.4 cf which has more cf and has a better design on the refrig door handle (uses allen screws versus a pop on handle). This unit needs to have door stops incorporated into the refrig door. As it, it won't stay open in any one position; either opens all the way or closes on your arms as you are getting into the refrig. Main complaint is NOISE which I am taking up with LG Customer Service. Several other reviews claim this is a very quiet unit ?? About twice a day, there is a very loud noise that sounds like plastic gears stripping out. So loud, it can be heard from another floor in my home. Unit also emits other bothersome noises throughout the day. I would recommend this unit only if there can be some solution to all the noises.

We had to change the door swing to accommodate our kitchen layout. Changing the doors was easy. Clean lines and easy storage bins.
