I may not be a typical customer. I am 82 and use the printer for only 6 months a year. I hope the 901XL will still be good when I return from Florida in May.
I have not opened it yet as the original black is still doing fine.
We are very happy with our HP printer ... The documents I have printed with HP the best of any others I have used.

Easy to replace

I have never had an easier time of replacing an ink cartridge than this one. Open, click, take out, put in click, done. Easy to replace, prints very very good ink.. will never buy an after market cartridge again.
I would recommend this to a friend!
