What's great about it: good price, plenty of space
What's not so great: I haven't found a problem with this
Bought this GE refrigerator June 2010. Found a great website to compare refrigerators at http://www.refrigerator-reviews-ratings.com/. Many websites do not show you a picture of the inside, but this site does (it shows the refrigerator side only) and this site has a great review and rating system. The freezer side is spacious and the ice maker does not take up that much space, very compact. Freezer has four wire racks, one shelf above ice maker, and one bin. So far I am very pleased with this refrigerator--it cools well, not noisy, very spacious, I love the gallon-milk-in-door capability, nice see thru shelves makes it easier to find things, water/ice dispenser works easily, water with filter tastes fine. A great refrigerator and a great price. Best Buy had the lowest price that I found @ $850. This GE replaces a GE I had for 20+ years, hope this one lasts a long time too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wish the freezer side was a little larger, but having the ice and water in the door is a decent trade off. Large fridge/freezer-maybe just need to get used to the different set-up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: Nada, zip, nothing
I had a same size LG with in door ice maker which was a piece of crapola
. Luckily, I had an extended warranty so I got this one plus money back on a Best Buy card. This GE looks better (textured all over) and performs better for less money. Time will tell but recommend highly after several months.

What's great about it: Great price, quiet, roomy, looks good
What's not so great: None discernable
Since the price was low on this I wasn't sure how good the quality will be. It seems like an excellent refrigerator to me. There are more energy efficient and probably quieter models, but for most people I think this is an excellent value.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Price was very very competitive and very effecient
What's not so great: not a thing
The unit looks great w/ a textured surface that doesn't show finger prints and doesn't need to be wiped down to look it's best like stainless steel. Who's got the time?
The clear shelves and drawers allow you to see what is in the drawer w/out opening them.
The energy savings from my old to my new is about $200/yr. Add that to the TAX benefit for buying an energy efficient fridge and this brand new fridge will pay for itself 3 1/2 yrs ! !
Considering the fridge will last 15 yrs - that is a boatload of money I'll save.
One very important thing was the speed it cooled off - the delivery team had my old unit out and the new one in w/ in 20 minutes. No having to worry about my food thawing. The freezer part was ice cold quickly and I reloaded it w/out a hitch.
Had a small glitch when the delivery team crimped my copper water line but BEST BUY was out quickly and fixed it perfect w/out a question or expense.
I would recommend this to a friend!
