The stacking kit really couldn't be easier to use. The only trick is to verify your model number before you start to know where to screw in the the brackets, and which brackets to use. (Yes men, that means you must read the instructions BEFORE you start installing the kit).
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to install

We purposely bought the washer and dryer pair to stack them. We measured very carefully. Once stacked and installed they did not fit the space we measured for. The dryer need to be stacked several inches back to accommodate the controls for the washer. This was not mentioned with the purchase. They do not fit the space they were measured for. Add a few inches if you plan on stacking. Also dryer controls are very difficult to see if you are not tall.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The specifications sheets for most models (which are downloadable from the product pages on this website) include detailed measurements for a variety of installations, including the extra depth required for stacking as well as the height of the stacked units.

EASY TO INSTALL WORTH THE EXTRA ROOM IN LAUNDRY AREA BY STACKING THE MACHINES
WILL ADD A SMALL PIECE OF FOAM TO FRONT BOTTOM MOUNT TO ELIMINATE SQUEAK NOISE WHEN WASHER HAS LARGE BULK LOADS
