Excellent noise reduction

flexibility of dish loads is outstanding

spotless , runs so quiet that if the red indicator light wasn't there telling you it's running you couldn't tell it was. And the extra shelf is definitely a bonus .

Great dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this approximately two months ago, and so far I am extremely happy with the purchase, with a couple small caveats.
I have no complaints about the cleaning. Everything comes out clean and shiny with no food residue. Organizing has a bit of a learning curve, as it is laid out differently from any other dishwasher I've ever used. The racks all seem very sturdy with no breakage, rust, or issues with loading and unloading (point of fact, my last dishwasher from a competitor had shown signs of rust by this point).
In terms of noise, this dishwasher is truly silent. I can hardly tell if it's running even if I'm standing near it. I have an open-concept home, and when I'm in the adjoining living room, I can't hear the machine running at all. It is fantastic in that respect.
The performance has been phenomenal; that being said, there are a couple of issues that could make it absolutely perfect. First, for the first month at least, there was a noticeable smell to the unit, and there was water in the unit when I received it. I can only assume this was leftover from testing during manufacturing; however, it was a bit annoying. It seems to have dissipated by now, or maybe we just have gotten used to it. Second, the installation could have been made a little clearer in several respects. First, it would have been nice to know that it comes with its own fill hose to save from the hassle of buying one. Second, it would have helped to have a clear indication where in the cabinet it should be located (i.e., distance from the cabinet face).
These small issues are just that, small, but an honest review should account for all issues. So far, we are extremely satisfied with the purchase. I only hope it continues to hold up over time.

I purchased it, I was surprised to hear that Bosch didn't have a heating element, which initially concerned me. The dishes are always dry and spotless when I unload them, so my concern was unfounded. It is also very quiet, a major plus-point.The third drawer on top is very useful. This is the 5th built-in dishwasher I have owned, but my first Bosch. I am sorry it took me so long to get one of these!
