Good cleaning power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this for a new home we built because of salesperson recommendation and because I wanted a stainless steel interior, and while I have been pleased with its cleaning power, I don't care for the electronic control panels. It is difficult to change from one cycle to another, even using the instructions. Also, even lowering the top rack does not give me enough height to wash wine glasses. However, I do like the fact that it has three racks, which I've never had in a dishwasher before.

Previously disappointed dishwasher

Well that is over now because I have found the best! You do not even hear it running and wow-the dishes are spotless. Thanks Bosch!

Impressive replacement for my Viking Professional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The performance of this unit is better than the Viking Professional series dishwasher it replaces. Much quieter especially during the drain cycle.
It took a lot of work on the install due to the fact it is in my kitchen island and the island curved on the left of this unit and there was not a solid cabinet side to the left. My old unit had a deeper frame but this one had a gasket that was floating in midair until I built out a cabinet wall. I also had to rerun some electrical wiring in the cabinet to make room as the Bosch was 1.5 inches deeper than my old Viking. If this had been a "normal" install with solid cabinet sides on both sides and a solid back wall this would have been an easy install.
We have used this for a week now and it has handled everything we have thrown at it. The third rack is much more useful than we anticipated and many of the items that would not come out without a white powdery residue comes out perfectly clean. We are using the same detergent and rinse aid and hit water temp that we had before so it is clearly the difference in the unit itself.
The Viking did have a more solid feel and I believe used a thicker gauge of stainless steel but was literally three times the price, less effective in cleaning and louder while operating.
