BEST ON THE MARKET

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OMG!!! This is the quietest, most efficient, best cleaning dishwasher I've ever owned. Love, Love, Love it and the versatility of adjustable shelves, third rack, lid holders and no pre-rinsing required. It has tremendous capacity and oh my, it's so quiet you don't even know it is on except the red light. I can't believe I waited this long to own it! Thank goodness my Jenn Air dishwasher broke and left me with no choice but to buy a new, more innovative appliance. Not to mention, it was so easy to install, my husband did it and didn't even complain.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My oven is louder than this dishwasher
on August 29, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is so quiet, it shines a light on the floor to indicate that it's running. My convection oven is louder than this dishwasher. About six months ago, we replaced our old dishwasher with this model. The old one was going strong after 24 years but the only thing quiet about it was the decal claiming how quiet it was.
Aside from the quiet, I like that this dishwasher has a flat front and sealed controls on top of the door. The sealed controls are easy to clean and unlikely to be damaged just because liquid spills in from the top. (I did not choose the dishwasher with mechanical buttons for this reason.)
I also selected this model for the uppermost utensil tray, and I've been glad I did. We promptly banished the utensil basket from the lower rack to a high, out-of-the-way shelf. The utensils get cleaner when they're not packed or nested, and the lower rack holds substantially more. Indeed, it takes the two of us quite some time to fill, and we only run it every few days. (I may also pop out and set aside the flip-down things in the center rack and the tall item support. I seldom use those, either.)
I'm a little annoyed that it keeps nagging about rinse aid. I tried the rinse aid sample that came with the dishwasher, and it left the dishes, and especially the stainless utensils, feeling slippery. Not wishing to add miscellaneous chemicals to my diet, I chose to refill the reservoir with white vinegar after that.
I chose the white finish partly to coordinate with older kitchen styling I still like and partly because stainless tends to show every fingerprint. I also took some of my own dishes to the showroom to check the fit, and found that the tine spacing on this model holds my bowls apart, so they do not lean on each other and are less prone to complete the cycle with debris wedged in between. Our results so far bear this out.
And, while it's difficult to say for certain, I'd say the new dishwasher is quite a bit more water and energy efficient than the old one.

TOP NOTCH! Best in class dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After heavily researching dishwashers and customer reviews online, I went with this Bosch SHX68T55UC model and it did not disappoint! It is by far the quietest dishwasher I have ever (not) heard. We have small children at home so the quiet factor and the stealth hidden buttons are perfect for our situation. It cleans efficiently on a fraction of the water other dishwashers use. Some people reviewing complained of occasional moisture left after the dry cycle and the smell if the dishwasher is not run for a while. A quick look through the owners manual and you can use sanitize and extra shine to dry better and also set up a short quick wash cycle schedule if you are out of town, etc to eliminate standing water smells. I highly recommend this product and I rarely write reviews

Outstanding Performance and Sleek Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In 2016, when moving into my new house, I purchased a Bosch dishwasher because of a review ranking a less-expensive model as a top product, and I upgraded so I could hide the buttons and add a bar for holding a dish towel (yes, really). The biggest learning curve for me was remembering NOT to pre-wash/rinse my dishes. It works better when things are filthy-dirty to start with, so I truly just take pots/pans directly off the stove and plates straight from the table without ever stopping at the sink. It's amazing! I was so impressed with how well my Bosch 800 Series cleans, I recommended it to my boyfriend's parents. I must have mentioned it a lot, because within 6 months of my purchase, they got one, too! Another 6 months past that, my sister and I gave one to my mother for her birthday. The whole family is turnt on the Bosch dishwasher way of life now! Everyone loves how quiet they are; thankfully, the models come with a helpful light shining on the floor to indicate they're on (and the cats love the little red dot!). It is especially nice in houses with an open floor plan, because you truly CANNOT hear it running, so there's NO need to delay the wash to watch TV or continue a conversation at the table. (You will at least once turn to someone in your house and go, "Is it on?" before remembering the little red light on the floor.) Growing up, the worst part about loading or emptying the dishwasher was always the silverware, but with the third rack on the Bosch, it's a breeze! The silverware lines up easily, and you can un/load all the tiny spoons and forks without bending over and futzing with a basket (though one is included if you like the old method). Finally, I really enjoy the peace of mind when using the "sanitize" feature, an option I hadn't found on many models while browsing before purchasing. Basically, any time a product makes a mundane chore like dishes less stressful and more fun, I have to highly recommend it!

Happy 800 Series User

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a lot of research my mind was made up, a Bosch it would be!
Delivery was swift and professional, the product packaged well. Installation had one small hick-up due to a part not being available, but otherwise it was a breeze.
The interior is spacious, the adjustable middle tray can accommodate a variety of shapes and sizes, dishes/pots, etc. and may be a challenge (in the beginning) for someone used to the configuration of an older dishwasher (like I had). Consult the included instruction booklet for tips and use, amazing!
I love the Auto setting with the sanitizing choice, especially during sniffle season and for pet plates. The flip tines are great for oversized or odd shaped items and I have used the vase holder in different locations and for long shaped items like decanters etc.
The racks all are gliding smoothly, the middle rack clicks into place at any of the three settings with ease. The 3rd Rack is an initial challenge but again, consult the included booklet.
I used the trial samples of the recommended tabs/detergent/rinse aid, a change from my usual and found it to be a great product. As I mostly run my dishwasher during the night, the two and one half hour runtime plus additional evaporation drying length is not an issue.
Since I am writing this review in the CA cold season unloading is a pleasure in the morning as the dishes are still very warm!!
To keep my purchase clean and shiny for years, the interior door surface receives a quick wipe with a soft towel should any dribbles have fallen on it while unloading dishes.
I did read complaints about some water remaining on dishes. I have not experienced any remaining water on a flat surface, items with dips, like bottom of cups etc. do have some remaining water in the hollow but it depends on the depth of that. I usually take a paper towel and give the hollow a wipe, water is gone! Silverware, glasses and dishes are super clean and have a beautiful shine when allowed some extra drying time.
One of the most impressive features is not hearing that the machine is running, if not for the red dot on the floor. ...and I have the 44dBA!
Price initially was an issue for the 38dBA the front runner, but I am satisfied with my choice of selecting the 44dBA model.

Quiet, versatile and outstanding!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product last week, had it delivered yesterday, and used it for the first time last night. This is my first time purchasing a Bosch dishwasher; my old dishwasher was VERY loud, and it always had issues getting dishes clean (always had water spots or grime regardless of whether I used rinse aids, etc.). It also developed a leak, and was pooling water under the dishwasher.
Let me start by saying, I am absolutely amazed at how quiet this unit is when it washes dishes; during a cycle, my husband thought it wasn't running and had to open it to make sure it was on (and got sprayed with water, haha). This dishwasher is awesome!
I was actually excited this morning (yes, I said excited!) when I had more dishes to wash, so I could try some of the different cleaning programs. So far, I am impressed with the different programs - regardless of the program, my dishes come out sparkling clean every time.
I did a lot of research on this product (and others) before purchasing this unit. I had a few key features in mind that my new dishwasher needed to have: low decibel rating, energy star, leak protection and NSF sanitize rating. When comparing other models/brands of dishwashers, very few met my qualifications (and all of the ones that did ended up being Bosch, haha).
I chose this specific model for the low decibel rating, the NSF sanitize feature, its Energy Star rating, the AquaStop leak protection, and the versatility it provides in being able to quickly and easily adjust the racks (literally, in a matter of seconds) to different heights based on the items you need to wash (an amazing feature I hope Bosch never gets rid of). I also LOVE the third rack for silverware, which leaves you with the ability to remove the silverware caddy for additional space on the bottom shelf. The 24/7 AquaStop leak protection will certainly give me peace of mind; no more pools of water in my future!
I must also share my delight in the InfoLight; although it wasn't something I needed to have in a dishwasher (nor was it something I was looking for), I find it very convenient, and honestly, without it, I'd never know when the dishes are done because the darn thing is so quiet!
The only thing I had left for wanting was the water softener feature, which apparently is available in the "chrome" model, but not the white model. Oh, well.
Advice I would give to potential buyers:
- Be prepared to be amazed! This thing is awesome, and has a lot of features that you can't find on any other dishwasher (or at least I couldn't)!
- The sanitize program sure does work, but be wary, folks.. it gets HOT; it moderately warped one of my bargain brand "dishwasher safe" glass tumblers. All of my other dishes remained undamaged/un-warped, so obviously the issue lies with this particular piece of glassware, not with the dishwasher.
- The dishwasher drain tube needs to be attached to a high-rise loop or an air gap, otherwise the water will drain back down the tube into the dishwasher, creating standing water in the bottom of your dishwasher.
- In order for your dishes to achieve proper "dryness," wait a few hours after your dishwasher cycle is complete. If you open it up immediately after a cycle, your dishes will still be wet.

Great Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this model as a replacement for our Bosch dishwasher that was 15 years old. We were not disappointed. Quieter with even more capacity than our old one. Like the versatility of having three racks and ability to put plastic ware on first rack which does not result in warped items as in other dishwashers. Cleans very well and seems to dry dishes faster. The 5 year warranty on the electronics and racks is a plus, but based on our previous experience with Bosch, I doubt that we will ever have to use it. One caveat: We did a self install and thought that we received a defective door since it had a gloss finish on the top quarter and a dull finish on the remaining face. Turned out the dull finish was really a protective film that was applied so well it looked like the finished product. I felt a little stupid when I called the store. I suggest that Bosch use some lettering or a logo on the film so that one realizes it is just the protection..or maybe I just need new glasses..
