Quiet, cleans well but could dry better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dishwasher about a month ago and have ran 10-20 loads through so far. I did the install myself; it required me to relocate the water in, drain and power to the back side of my cabinet (previously entered my last dishwasher from directly underneath the dishwasher). This wasn't that big of a deal but did slow down the installation process some. I liked that the dishwasher came with it's own drain line (however I did have to extend it some to reach my sink drain) and water inlet line (good length). It also came with a junction box and power cord which was nice and simple to install. The dishwasher is very quiet - I think I went from the loudest to the quietest model with this upgrade. Unlike in the store I can hear the water while it is working however it is really quiet and is not bothersome. I think the store had enough background noise in it that it couldn't be heard. The wash time on Auto is about 2 hours - kinda long compared to my last model but its better then doing myself. I do use the jet dry however I didn't get the turbo this time around and will try that next time because some of my dishes still have a little water on them when the wash cycle is complete. Heres the funny thing - I didn't realize until after I had bought it and installed that this dishwasher does not dry using heating elements - in fact there is not a drying heat element at all! I did a little research and found out that with the help of the drying agent (jet dry) and the heat from the hot wash water is what bosch relies on to dry the dishes. It does work however I found it to work best if I leave the dishes in the washer for a long period of time after the cycle is complete - sometimes I start the cycle when I go to bed and empty in the morning. This seems to give it plenty of time to dry. Dishes that hold heat dry the best such as ceramics, glass and SS silverware. Any plastic tupperware or glasses do not dry as well because they dissipate heat better. This is my only complaint - wishing that it did dry better but besides that its very nice and I think I've found a work around (by letting them sit in over night); next time I'll also try the jet dry turbo to see it it works any better. I have tried the Finish pellet soap as recommended for a couple of loads but quit and went to the liquid dish soap because I have a couple of small kids and worry that they might try to eat the pellets - I'll probably switch when they get older.
One other suggestion for bosch - it might be nice to have a LED light inside when you open it up and the top silverware rack (I absolutely LOVE this feature) squeaks when I pull it in and out - something with the slides.
Oh did I mention I have two young kids? The other thing I like about this washer is that the control buttons are hidden when the door is shut so they can't play with them :)

OMStars!!
on December 31, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using our new Bosch dishwasher for more than a month now........and OMStars!!! .........now we know what 'clean dishes' actually means!
Our former dishwasher was 5 years old and had been purchased as one of a 'suite' of matching kitchen appliances (a lesson learned: research appliances individually).
The old dishwasher had a manufacturing defect, the leak was undiscovered for months, damaged the kitchen island where it was installed, tub was replaced, etc...a small nightmare. Even though it was functional it never cleaned well, before or after the repairs.
After much research we decided to replace it with the SHP65T55UC Bosch model. We can only 'second' every positive review we read.....this is such a marvelous machine! Who knew cups and glassware do not need to be hand-washed with vinegar after the wash cycles in order to eliminate the water spots/tea stains ?????
I thought the cutlery/3rd shelf of the Bosch might be tedious to load but, on the contrary, it was the removing from the silverware basket and sorting of the 'mixed' cutlery from the old dishwasher into the cutlery drawer that was tediously time consuming. When the silverware is loaded into the Bosch with matching sizes together, it's a breeze to remove them together, NO sorting needed!
We could not be more pleased with this purchase!

Lives up to being very quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bosch dishwasher was installed on December 2, 2015, and it has provided clean dishes repeatedly. I am very pleased with the dishwasher, especially it's living up to the fact that it is so quiet. Our old dishwasher was very noisy and the detergent smell would come through while it was noisily operating. The Bosch is not only quiet but also the smell of the detergent is better contained. Love the quietness of the operation.

LOVE MY BOSCH
on February 11, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my Bosch dishwasher. This is my second and it's just as good if not better than the first. A little disappointed in the quality of the handle. After 60 days, the handle cracked. Looks like low quality plastic was used....other than that, it washes wonderfully.

Cleans great and is very quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and am very satisfied. We use our dishwasher daily (sometimes twice a day) so we wanted a dependable dishwasher that will get the job done. We no longer pre-rinse our dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, and they come out sparkling clean. We were even skeptical about how it would dry since there's no heating element. Our dishes come out dry too (expect for plastic containers, but we knew that ahead of time). The one recommendation we'd suggest would be to have some type of indicator when the dishes are clean. There's a red light on the floor when it runs, maybe there can be a green light when it's done. It would also be helpful to give a "Remaining Time" left on the digital display. Both are minor things. We'd buy this dishwasher again and have been telling all our friends and family about it.

Quiet and water save but not clean and dry enough
on February 26, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had it almost 5 months and used it 4 to 5 times a week. It was very hard at beginning since it doesn't have a selection for drying. Late with programmed for drying, after load finished mugs and some pots were still not dried completely. Due to is a water save model so always have one or two plates not cleaning enough with some spots on. It bothers me a lot, I have to put them back to the rack with my next wash. Really hope Bosch can make improvement on provide a selection for drying and increase cleaning level even use a bit more water.

Quiet and Clean
on February 26, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had our Bosch dishwasher for about 8 months and we love it. It is super quiet and the cycle is fairly short. The dishes are always clean and dry at the end of the wash cycle. It is by far the best dish washer we have owned in the last 25 years.
