Take It From A Teacher - Worth Every Dollar!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a Bosch 500 Series dishwasher a few weeks ago and love it! I read so many reviews on many competitors that I was completely confused. I asked my brother and sister-in-law what they had, and if they were happy with their dishwasher, since they had recently moved and remodeled a few times. My logic - I can rely on a review from a family member that has owned many nice houses. They had a Bosch and were happy with it. That, along with positive reviews sold me on the Bosch. I installed it myself and was initially impressed with the base and frame. I could tell it was well constructed and more substantial. My old dishwasher's frame was bent, 1/2" square metal tubing. My Bosch has a very sturdy, broad, high-density plastic frame that provides a solid foundation. The leveling system was also superior to my previous dishwashers'. In the Bosch, I could level the whole dishwasher from the front, after it was in place, as compared to trying to reach the four "feet" that unscrew for leveling in the old machine. The electrical hook-up was also very nice quality. When I first started the dishwasher to test it, I thought something went wrong, and that it wasn't working. Only after reading through all the troubleshooting tips did I realize my mistake; it was running, but I couldn't hear it! It was so quiet; no more rumbling sounds like a jet taking off. Lastly, glassware that I assumed was permanently etched came clean! I really thought my glassware was cheap and had become etched from hard water, but I was so surprised to see them clear when I emptied the Bosch. I have found the top rack nice for cleaning silver and the other racks easy to load and accommodating, which helps maximize space. The stainless exterior has not been hard to keep clean and the stainless interior looks nice. I love all the controls on the top of the door and a light that shines on the floor to let you know it's operating. It really is a great, quality product, and I highly recommend it. It's worth every dollar!

Is it Running?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement for a old dishwasher that started to leak when running. We are extremely happy with the Bosch unit. It is unbelievably quite compared to our old dishwasher. I had to check several times that it was actually running. The dishes came out perfectly clean and spotless.

very quiet, sleek look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had planned on another Brand but Bosch is so much better than expected. I'm even more relaxed about pre-cleaning before the dishes go in the dishwasher. Its also very quiet which means I'm not dictated by the life going on in the room.

Quiet Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had it now for a few weeks and are very happy with how quiet it is - which was our main criteria for selection. Dishes come out clean. Plastics occasionally are still somewhat wet - but that appears to be the case with most other brands. Not a big deal for us.

Great performance, but difficult to load

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dishwasher 1 month ago to replace a 2007 Bosch that was less than stellar. I was skeptical of purchasing another Bosch after my previous experience - new motherboards, multiple leaks, poor cleaning, but was swayed by several knowledgeable service people telling me the quality was greatly improved. I am very happy with the performance of my machine - it is quiet and does a great job cleaning. My biggest complaint is loading. The silverware basket is too large and is not spit in this model (with the 3rd shelf, why do I need a huge silverware basket) and there are no adjustable tines in the bottom shelf - unless my load is all plates and shallow bowls (which it only is on special occasions), it is very difficult to effectively load pans, deep bowls, cutting boards and plates together. After the past 6 months with a loud, leaking and often malfunctioning dishwasher, I would, overall, recommend the model.

Love my new dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rather than repairing our 14 yr.old Bosch, we decided to purchase this one. After reading reviews of several brands, we settled on another Bosch because of the great service we had received from our previous model, quiet operation and the Bosch reputation. I can load more dishes into this one even though the two measure the same on the outside. It's whisper quiet and the dishes come out sparkling clean. My one suggestion: add a 3rd position for the top shelf. In the lowest position, my tall glasses fit in the top but taller pots will not fit in the bottom. With the top shelf in its highest position, tall glasses cannot fit and must be placed in the bottom shelf. A middle position would remedy that problem.
