The bane of my existence...

This dishwasher came with our house and was a brand new unit. We've now been using it for about a year. The stupid thing won't latch properly all the time and the door frequently pops open in the middle of the washing cycle. Just tonight I've had to shut it again 10+ times to keep it from spraying water all over the floor. We have also had problems with the soap dispenser not opening in the past, but that hasn't happened for a while.
When it works, it's just fine. But when it doesn't... heaven help us. At least it does generally do a decent job of actually getting dishes clean, which I suppose is the point of a dishwasher. It would just be nice if the door actually stayed closed and latched every time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

parts keep failing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Barely a year passed and the dishwasher stopped working. No power at all. Luckily, I had home warranty that sent a technician who replaced the touch panel. Now, a year and a half later, the dishwasher is not powering at all again and I don't have my home warranty anymore. I turned off power at the breaker and waited 15 min. It did not work after. I had someone take a look at it and they said it's something other than the touch panel this time and it would cost me quite a bit. So now I'm out of luck and stuck hand washing the dishes...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

HORRIBLE dishwasher

I hate writing bad reviews, but this is honestly the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. We built our dream home about 5 years ago, and had problems right from the start. We reached out to our builder who told us there were "no issues", even though every few days it would randomly leak during a cycle.
Fast forward some time, and we figured out that it mainly leaked during the Pot Scrubber cycle, so we stopped using that. We then determined that if anything were remotely in the way of the spinning arm, it would leak, so EVERY time we run the dishwasher I check that all of the arms can spin freely, and most of the time that worked. With 3 teenagers in the house, that is easier said than done.
Now the seal has completely broken and it leaks every cycle. We ordered a new seal and replaced the one that fell out, and it still leaks. My wood floors are ruined from the several years of random leaks. I'm going to have to have our entire first floor redone because the floor companies have said they cannot simply fix the wood that has been affected near the dishwasher.
On top of that, several of the button options haven't worked for quite some time, either. I gave up on changing options within cycles due to those buttons not functioning.
I have an entire kitchen of Frigidaire Professional appliances, and I will NEVER own another.

Had this dishwasher for two years now, just upgraded from old one that still worked better than this one, but wanted all appliances to match. Now the detergent dispenser will not open, and after it run through cycle the lights on panel are flashing. This wasn’t a cheap purchase but will consider other brands when I replace.

I recommend making sure that the house water is coming in at 120 degrees and that large pots or pans are not blocking the spray arm from spraying the water to the detergent dispenser for release. Heating element clip failed and melted the tub

Bought the series - fridge, freezer, stove, stove vent and dishwasher all brand new in Oct 2014... Freezer temperature control has had to be replaced, stove vent does not work as all the push buttons have fallen off into the vent, dishwasher heating element clip failed (always look for 3 clips!) and the element melted into the bottom of our plastic tub causing a huge leaking hole... No support from Frigidaire - especially unhappy about the vent hood and dishwasher as those are clearly manufacture defects - poor design. Have to replace the dishwasher after limping it out for over a year with patches... Will NOT be buying a frigidaire again!!

It washes dishes.

The only thing about this appliance that is noteworthy, is the fact that it sprays water on your dishes. It won't dry them, but it will get them wet. The handle is useless. When you attemt to open the unit, it requires both hands. One to press the lock release, and the other to grab the side of the door to pull it open. If there were other choices offered to me at this moment, our family would have a different machine.
