latch mechanism not very well made

The latching mechanism needs to be re-engineered. It was very difficult to close the door from day one. We had a warranty repair person come out and replace it, however that didn''t change the problem much. It has gotten better over time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The design isn't great -- there really isn't much to grip on to open the door itself. Plus I really have to push in to get it to lock in place.
Luckily I'm still under warranty because literally 5 minutes before I received an e-mail asking for a review of my dishwasher -- which has been unusable for the last 5 days -- the technician diagnosed a bad circuit board and it will be another 3 days before he can get the part in to fix it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very nice appliance for the money. I purchased 3 for 3 rental units with only one issue. the splash gaurd was damaged on one causing the dishwasher to leak. A new one was shipped in a few days, I snapped it into place and all was well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
