good choice for needs

works well and runs quietly and holds its temperature better than the one I replaced. Too early to tell but believe the extra money is worth it

Since I always check reviews prior to buying and since reviews about a similar product led me to this one from Lowe's with free shipping, it's only right that I should add my comments. It's perfect for me, just the right size for the space I needed to put it, and is more than big enough. I presently only have it half full. It looks solid and well made. Perhaps I should not have rushed in with five stars since I've only had this freezer for a month so it's difficult to rate everything, such as how easy or difficult it is to do a manual defrost. However, everything is pretty accessible so I don't imagine it will be any problem.

Purchased this freezer about a month ago and so far so good. There is no sound whatsoever, and it is just what we were looking for. It is working perfectly and we couldn't ask for a better freezer. We are so happy with this that we plan on making our next refrigerator a GE product as well.

Just received the freezer and have not had a chance to evaluate it. It does look very nice. It is very cold. It is so quiet I find myself checking every once in awhile to make sure it is running.

Nice simple small chest freezer

I just bought this freezer after quite a bit of comparison shopping. The GE brand and the temperature range going up to 110 F were important criteria. In a southwest Florida garage, the 110 range is critical. The unit was easily unpacked, cleaned, plugged in, and is running fine. It looks nice and I'm going to follow the instructions and wax it this week. This looks like an ideal unit for our purposes.

My refridgerator does not have a large freezer (it is a side by side) and we needed to have something to store some larger item. This freezer fits nicely in our kitchen and looks very nice. Once it was plugged in it started to get cold immediately.
