I have several Otterbox Defender series phone cases and find the quality and performance to be beyond compare. These cases offer the protection that expensive cell phones need and do it in a stylish way as well. I recommend Otterbox to all my friends and family.
First Otter Box I ordered had a defect that the design wore off quick and they replaced the whole thing very quickly. Second one has been great. Great customer service and product.
Pros: High quality, Durable, great customer service
This is a great case with a great warranty but it is a bit bulky a the belt clip get ont on everything. I have broken one belt clip so far and it has been replaced. That is a PLUS! I have been a long time user of Otter Box aand will continue to use them. I would like to see a water proof case with a belt clip soon. Hint Hint!
I have had the case for about a year. Within this year I have had to make two warranty claims against it. I don't know if I will be making a third. The case itself is great. The holster or belt clip has broken 3 times since my purchase of this item. Otterbox has been great about the warranty on this product. They have sent new holster s to replace my broken ones. I may send another warranty repair for the holster breaking a third time but at some point I have to ask myself " is this case for me?" I have broken it twice just getting out of my chair at work and this last time I was getting in the car. The clip catches on things and either breaks the belt attachment or the cradle part.
The only thing I can see is this product needs to have a stronger or more of a break proof belt holder. I have had two case break and the belt holder point of the case. I think this is a great case otherwise.
I totally recommend an Otterbox! I am a 62 year old guy, going on 25. I am active, a pilot, a retired Shrink, and live in the country on my own. April 25, 2012, my girlfriend and I decided to take one last flight before taking the skis off the aeroplane. We live in Canada and my place is on the east side of Lake Winnipeg. We decided we would fly over the lake to a small town called Gimli and have lunch. For the record, where I live is considered remote wilderness. Yes we have roads, no, I do not have close neighbours. A friend who owns a store along the way wanted us to do a "Fly Over." As we were approaching her store, about a quarter mile out, we hit low level, clear air, wind shear and dropped 750 feet in about 3 seconds. I had to make a choice in terms of crash site. Ditch, 550 volt power lines, or trees. I chose trees. As we were going in, I flipped the plane onto my side to protect my girlfriend. After the bang, I had 6 inches of leg bone outside of my boot and a broken wrist. She had a cut on her forehead and a broken tooth, as well as a cut on her leg. As we were still in a remote area, I called my friend at the store for assistance. My phone stayed on my hip and was not damaged because of the protection of my Otterbox! What else can I say? I am walking and flying again.
