I purchased the Commuter Series plastic shell and slip cover for the S4. I drop my phone constantly and, so far, the OtterBox has been doing it's job. My phone is in great shape and the case has held up very well against wear and tear. I also love that I had so many options in choosing colors. If I have one teeny tiny complaint its that the outer shell doesn't fit 100% perfectly over the phone/slip cover. But it's really not that big of a deal.

I like the strong case for my son. I bought one for my Galaxy 4 and one for his. I feel confident that if by accident he should drop the phone, I won't have to worry about the phone breaking. This case is very durable. We used them for our Galaxy S3 phones and loved them.

I have been using this otter box case for about 3-4 months now. I have had one incident with it though. I tend to fidget with things with my hands when I'm bored, and I managed to snap the plastic outer shell at its weaker spot (whoops). Using their customer service was easy to get a replacement shell and I got it in within a week.
Within that week though I went without the case. Although I really did prefer the smaller, sleek feeling of my galaxy S4, I found myself used to the otter box. I couldn't keep my phone on my lap and it fe like a bar of soap in my hands. Also because I have larger hands, my palms kept hitting the 'return' button and the 'settings' button constantly. With the attempt of making the S4 so slim, I found it to have absolutely no grip or tolerance for large palms.
Once with the case again, the grip came back and I never accidentally hit the menu buttons. I can understand how people can be a bit upset that their phone was supposed to be slim without the case, but this case was a good decision alone for the grip that it provides. I still haven't dropped my phone to use the intended feature, but we already know otter box has a reputation built around its durability. Overall, as long as you personally don't try to break the case (again whoops), this case will really protect and support your phone.

Fantastic Case!

I got this case because I didn't want a bulky beast of a cover that wouldn't fit in my pocket, but needed adequate protection for everyday comings and goings. This is spot on. Goes in and out of your pocket easily and has more than enough shock absorption capability for the knocks and scrapes. I have only two criticisms:
1. There is no rubber on the outside of the case edge where you might want to prop the phone up to watch a video. This means that when you try to do this, the bottom of the phone just slides out and it ends up flat on the table. I can see that the addition of these might make the case catch a little on the fabric when sliding the phone in and out of the pocket and this is probably why they were omitted, but still would of been a nice feature to add little rubber "feet" there on the outside edge to support propping the phone up for media viewing in the absence of a kick stand.
2. The screen protector that comes with the case is very difficult to apply. I have applied over 10 of these in my time to various devices with very little issue and no bubbling. But this one was a real challenge. The rest of the case is so brilliant though I can almost forgive this entirely.
All in all though, not badly priced and very good quality. Happy days.
Pros: High quality, Durable, slides easily in and out of pockets, doesn't add much bulk, improves the feel of the phone in the hand, dust covers keep all ports clear of crud, raised edging around screen for face down falls, fits the phone very well indeed, cutout for ir blaster (often omitted by others), buttons work well even through the rubber covers, well priced
Cons: fiddly screen protector, no facilities for propping the device up for media

Best Case Ever

This is my third Otter Box.
I had a Defender Series on an S4 until it died. Ended up switching to the Commuter Wallet series and loved it even better. I have used the wallet portion every time I am traveling and do not need to carry both a phone and a wallet. You cannot fit much in it (especially paper money), but it works great for an ID, credit card and maybe one more card.
Hopefully the Commuter Wallet series will be available for the S6! :)
Pros: High quality, Durable, wallet awesome
Cons: still expensive

Adamantium protection

This case is my new best friend. Accidentally left my phone on top of my SUV, but didn't realize it until I got home. Thought phone would be ruined. Actually found the phone using Android location service. The plastic shell was cracked in several places, and came off the phone, but the phone itself did not have a scratch on it. This case protected my phone from a six-foot fall at 50+ mph. I'll never buy anything else!

The color selection allows you to customize to your personality. It's really easy to put on the phone. Once on-it stays on, even when slipping in an out of pockets or cloth purse. I was concerned about getting a white outer case. Afraid that the oils from my hands would attract dirt and make it look dirty. No problems with that so far.

When I originally bought this cover, it turned out to have a defect. A section of the grey silicone sleeve had not been punched out and caused the case to bulge on the back. I had never had an Otterbox case before and did not realize this was incorrect. After the white case cracked from the pressure, I sent in a warranty request. It was answered within 20 minutes and I received a new case with the silicone sleeve within a week. The case works very well, and I am very impressed with the customer service.
