Thin, Protective, Colorful!

After reading others reviews i was hesitant to purchase. But both me and my brother got a case. I got lily and he got black. The case fit perfectly, no problems with rubber or plastic. Everything is perfectly combined and already had a few drops. No damage to phone or case. I suggest buying if your clumsy but want sleek protection on your phone.
Pros: High quality, Durable, very thin, easy to install, no damage on drop

Very Protective and Great Looking Case

When I began my search for a protective case, I wanted the best protection and initially wanted to get the Defender. After much deliberation, I went with the Commuter and I am SO Happy about it. I am a cluts and drop everything, thus far I have dropped the phone 3 times, once screen down and twice on a corner, every time you could hear the rubber absorb the impact.
Additionally, I have a .4mm tempered glass protector and it fits very well with the Otterbox. This also means I have no experience with the Otterbox screen protector. I have the white S4 with a Glacier colored case and it looks and feels like a great duo.
I also think that the buttons keep their responsiveness.
Minor Dislikes:
The covering for the headphone and charging jack are both covered and must be opened which is actually great BUT it also makes the rubber around the port weaker.

It makes the phone heavier BUT obviously not like the defender. If you want to protect your phone you need a heavier duty case.
Overall:
Great case and I would recomend to anyone.

I purchased the pink and grey Otterbox for my white S4. For the first TWO DAYS, the case was amazing, super cute, I loved it. But I started to notice on the third day the rubber part was getting really gross out of no where, stained etc. I figured it was not a big deal and that it wouldn't get worse. Its now been about 3 weeks, and the pink is fading, and stained very grey, the rubber does not fit well with the plastic anymore and it also becomes uncomfortable when you are on the phone. I understand the nature of "normal wear and tear" but I can't seem to figure out how so many people I know have had the same style Otterbox, in white, for their S3, and they have stayed white and not faded (continue to fit together the way they're supposed to etc) for MONTHS.. Yet mine is 3 weeks old and already destroyed. NOT IMPRESSED. Kind of a waste of money, and after writing to customer care I'm hoping to get a replacement. On a positive note I must admit it does protect fairly well from what I've seen.

Cons: Low quality, fades

I purchased two Commuter cases, grey/white and pink/grey, in order to get the pink/white case I wanted. I was disappointed that the pieces did not fit well together when I exchanged them to create my preferred color combination. Also, the pink started to look faded and dingy almost immediately and no cleaning would remove it. I added a tempered glass screen protector and found the case to be great at protecting my phone.
Overall I am satisfied with the protection the case offers. My phone is nearly a year old and looks brand new. I am dissatisfied with the aesthetics of the case. The grey held up well but the pink was a loss to me. I am also dissatisfied that the parts don't fit together securely when exchanging to create custom color combinations.
Pros: excellent phone protection
Cons: rubberized pink case quickly faded/dingy

Causes pressure cracks

I had this on my Galaxy for two months when a hairline crack formed underneath the glass out of no where. I called Samsung and they told me that they would not repair my phone because they said my Otterbox caused a "pressure crack" and it was not going to be covered. Just a heads up. Granted it's a good sturdy case, but for one that actually causes the cracks, it's a bit ironic.

Cons: causes pressure cracks

So disappointing

I have loved Otterbox in the past, but the case for the Samsung Galaxy 4 is awful. I ordered it with the complete faith that I've had in the past for Otterbox products, but I cannot return this fast enough. The case feels cheap, looks cheap and when using the phone, the sharp-ish edge around the case hits right in the ear making it extremely uncomfortable to talk on the phone. I am really surprised that Otterbox put it's name on this case. It's a terrible case as well as a terrible disappointment.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable, sharp-ish edge makes using the phone uncomfortable

Excellent protection but doesnt transmit heat

A very sturdy case that has saved my phone from countless drops that would have cracked the screen had it not been for the OtterBox.
The only bad trhing i would have to say is on occasion i need to remove the case because my phone gets very hot.
Pros: High quality, Durable, excellent protection
Cons: poor heat transmission
