S4 case a waste of money

I previously purchased an Otterbox Commuter for the Galaxy S3. It was great. Kept my phone snug and safe for two years.
So when I got an S4 I thought Otterbox Commuter. Big mistake. Poor fitting. Nowhere near as secure and provides nowhere the protection that the previous one did. Add to that I can't charge the phone whilst it is in the case because they haven't left enough room for the cable (and I've tried 3 different cables) and I truely feel let down.
I really hope Otterbox tell me it's a fake just to restore my faith, but I suspect it's not. It was in the advertised packaging and was from a respected seller.

Worst Case Ever

I dropped my phone less than a meter from the ground, the side of my phone cracked completely and now I can't see a single thing but all the buttons work.
Cons: Low quality, Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Okay for a while... disappointment in the end

I had a commuter series on my galaxy s4 for a few months and i was babying it because it didnt seem like enough protection for me. It survived small drops on the corners from about 4 feet. When i went to hand the phone to a friend at around stomach level and it dropped to the floor, screen first, the ENTIRE screen shattered. There were no previous cracks or anything. I liked the case for a while and i would definitely recommend it to someone who never drops their phone. But if you're accident prone, go for the Defender series. It will offer more protection from drops and for the screen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Drops do tend to happen from time to time with mobile devices, and that is a lot of what we’re trying to protect against, for certain. Unfortunately, every fall, drop, etc. has its own unique variables, and we are unable to guarantee that all risk will be eliminated.
