Smooth shave

I have been using the R4 for several weeks now, and there is no difference (a good thing) from the Titanium that I used previously as far as any skin irritation. The best feature that I like is being able to use water to clean it out. Its a snap to do this and better than having to dive deep with brushes to get all of the residue out. I recommend this product.

Solid performance, excellent value

This has been a solid performer for me. My skin is sensitive so I have been a rotary shaver user for more than two decades now. My 5150 was purchased over two years ago and was my first Remington unit and it has not disappointed.
Run time has lived up to expectations.
Shave is adequately close.
No durability issues.
Excellent value for the money.

A really close shave

This is the second Remington Rotary Shaver I have owned the first one I got 9 years ago to present ... This new shaver cuts very close and is easy on the skin... I was suprised that it did not come with a guard for the head or a brush to clean it out as the other one I own did.. A Great shaver !!!

The razor works great. Such a pleasure after the old dull one. I have a really thick fast growing beard and whiskers and I really appreciates the close shave without the tug. I like to grow it out when I'm off on my weekend and it handles the longer growth as well.

This shaver does everything I ask of it. Like all electric razors, you can get as close as you wish; depending on what you're looking for on that day. The trimmer works great. And, the shaver is easy to clean. Takes hardly any time.

Switching from Foil to Rotary did not work

I have used Remington Foil shavers for over 40 years, my latest being the F5790 Foil shaver that was still working fine after one full year on the same cutters and screen. This Christmas all that was in the stores in my area for Remington were the rotary so I tried this model. After just a few shaves it began to irritate my skin really bad, especially the lower neck. I finally gave up and ordered a new F5790 online and it is working just fine. The R4 was not shaving any closer than the F5790 although it could handle any hard to cut hairs that I had to use the F5790 pop up trimmer to cut. I am keeping my old F5790 as a backup and will now just use the new F5790.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than more expensive Shavers

Had a much more expensive shaver; one of those 3 rotary floating head razers and it doesn't work half as good. If it last as long as it took to get it out of the box it will last a long time. Battery level indicator is a big help; last a week or more. Cleans easily.
Does not come with a plastic head cover, travel case or a cleaning brush!

Same Price; yet significantly improved

The shaver I just bought replaced another Remington shaver that was 3 years-old and comparably priced. The new shaver is much improved in that the shave was immediately closer; the charge indicator is more advanced; and the new shaver captures all the whiskers, which the prior model did not.
