Huge, expensive mistake

ice maker kept freezing up as its not sealed well, compressor died 9 years after owning. warranty in us is only 5. was advised to buy a new fridge by an independent company.

Ice Maker / Defective Design

this ice maker has slowly become the bane of my existence. fortunately, it appears to have finally rid the world of its existence, so while my water will always be lukewarm at least i never have to deal with this ice maker again.
there was another annoying persistent issue with the drain line freezing but i eventually fixed that thanks to google/youtube
do not buy this fridge 0/10 do not recommend

about 2 years into having the refrigerator our ice maker started freezing over. we would defrost using tips found on internet only to find this temporary solution work for a few weeks at a time. we even found they had published about new parts made to fix this problem permanently. we bought the part just for it work for a little while and then back to normal issues again. ice even built up behind the inner back wall panel of the refrigerator. we had to remove all the food to take it off and defrost. we see the ice building up again. we haven't used our ice maker in almost a year and i just tried removing the tray and now it's stuck. can't remove it and can't get back in all the way. this is ridiculous and an evident defect in this model.

Bad ice maker and temp control

after three years ice maker began to malfunction. overfills then stops making ice then ice it melts and refreeze at the bottom of the compartment and bottom of the fridge. i empty the ice twice a day to keep it running and cold enough to not melt ice or i have to shut it off. shut off sometimes it takes multiple resets, which can only be done once a day to get it running again. so shuting off can mean no ice for several days. i also have to defrost or chip away at ice chunks in the compartment about every other week. the maintenance i have to di is ridiculous. i also bought a samsung dishwasher at the same time. it stsrted to leak after just over a year so i have to place a boot mat under the front of it everytime i run it. samsung tvs and phones are great, the appliances are horrible

Ice Maker

ice maker is worthless. would keep freezing over and i would have to open the drawer to clear the solid piece of ice blocking the ice maker every 1-2 months. now it so frozen that you can't open the ice drawer to clear the ice blockage. pointless having a refrigerator with an icemaker and still having to buy ice at the store. will never purchase another samsung fridge.

Ice maker terrible

ice maker has awful design and when it freezes (all the time) it stops working and you can not open it to access it. this caused the water dispenser to also stop working

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

nightmare fridge....water was always slow, we got an extra water cooler and didn't use fridge (fine) then ice maker started freezing up, had to scrap and defrost to get it to work (pain, but fine okay whatever) then temp issues, had to pay to get repair, after throwing away food twice and defrosting damaged floor. ice maker then stopped working and we got a replacement, then stopped working again, got another replacement and nothing. no ice- no water- and temp issues... do not buy!
