Bad design!!!

Ice maker trouble. I have purchased and installed the “T” bracket that is recommended to prevent freezing up but it doesn’t help at all! Once you get the machine to start making ice again. Then it will stop making ice again and again and again….. The reason this unit has two ice machines is bc they knew of this trouble and was hoping one would work correctly. They say it may be the filter however even with new filtering, it still doesn’t work. Please do yourself a favor and Do Not Purchase!!! Life brings enough problems to get through. Don’t give yourself this one. Samsung is a good company however they will not fix this problem, please beware of unit!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is terrible. Ice maker has never worked right and now the control panel continues to go out and our refrigerator continues to freeze all the food, and won't dispense water as that line froze too

Terrible fridge. The ice maker freezes over and no longer can be used. The warranty is one year, and you are out of luck. Samsung continue to sell this fridge knowing there is a manufacturing flaw. There is also a class action suit in the United States in regard to this.

I would rate this a zero if I could. After warranty I’ve maker froze over. Defrosted it and it happens again, over and over. Then the rear of the refrigerator wall started freezing over. Now, the refrigerator is freezing all of the drinks inside the refrigerator. Did reset and it keep freezing over.

Hi there,
We want to ensure that your refrigerator is used to its fullest.
To operate the ice maker properly, a water pressure of 20 ~ 125 psi is required.

I bought this Samsung fridge about eight years ago. Ice maker always freezes up. Never worked right. Class action? Plastic bins/ shelves on doors are breaking. Now the internal fan freezes up and makes terrible noises. I've defrosted it a number of times but it continues to happen. I'm done with Samsung refrigerators.

Bought this fridge in 2016. The only initial complaint was the loud bang when the ice would fall into the bin. To go back to those simple times! Next, water started pooling under the deli bin. Samsung tech came out, emptied the fridge and removed the panel to find a wall of ice. He removed it and replaced a sensor. Then, the ice make started to freeze up. We had to constantly defrost it to get ice. THEN, the fridge started freezing everything inside. Not the freezer, the fridge. It was also reading an incorrect temperature. Replaced the sensor, AGAIN all for the compressor to go less than 12 hours later ON CHRISTMAS EVE. Repairman came out again and got it working but said it could go out in a day or in ten years, couldn’t guarantee anything. Guess what, it didn’t last an hour! Tired of pouring money into this expensive closet. That’s all it’s good for, just holding stuff. Just purchased an LG fridge. Counting down the days until we’re free if this hunk of junk. Samsung has lost another customer. Their refusal to stand behind their shotty appliances should make future buyers beware.

Poor quality/does not last
on August 14, 2024

The refrigerator is less than 6 years old and it has stopped maintaining proper temp. In the last two years I’ve had to replace the ice maker, I’ve had to defrost the old and new ice maker about every two months, and I have even had to defrost the ice build up from the inside of the refrigerator twice. I am also having problems with the microwave, dishwasher, and stove that was all purchased as a set. I will not ever buy a Samsung product appliance again
